Chapter Three
The Speech of Chief Tree
"The D.W.L.A. has gotten power beyond measure. But, we must stop them, or else they will destroy us and every symbol of us. But the one thing they cannot take from us is our memories. Our memories are forever. Memories are powerful. The only time when our memories are truly gone is when we forget them.," said Chief Tree. His packsmen applauded him.
"So we have discovered early on that we cannot defeat the D.W.L.A. with militaric power. This teaches us that violence is never the answer. Violence kills. Violence scars. Violence makes unpleasant memories. So I am here today, hoping that the D.W.L.A. is listening because if they are, I hope I inspired them to do better. To stop all this madness by doing one simple act: shutting down the D.W.L.A. You may be thinking: "a simple act will make no difference." You are wrong. Simple acts can blossom into the things that matter most.
So I hope you walk away inspired. If you do, use that seed I planted in your head to make a difference.," said Chief Tree. His packsmen applauded him.
