This mashed potatoes recipe, I'm ready to profess, is the most delicious and creamiest side dish ever.
A mashed potatoes, which is neither sticky nor gummy or gluey, not overly liquid,
but really beautiful creamy and supremely velvety.
Ingredients for my mashed potatoes recipe
For 4 persons
1 kg potatoes (1/2 Yukon Gold and 1/2 Russet) / 2,2 lbs potatoes
125 g butter / 1 stick of of unsalted butter
300 ml milk/ 30 centiliters whole milk/ 1.2 cup of milk
Sea salt, pepper and a little nutmeg
Here is Joël Robuchon original mashed potatoes recipe:
- 1 kilogam potatoes ( use 1/2 Yukon Gold and 1/2 Russet)
- 20 to 30 centiliters whole milk/ 1.2 cup of milk
- 250 grams of unsalted butter
- sea salt
Notice: no cream and a ratio of 4 parts potatoes to 1 part butter.
You can also boil potatoes with skin on, drain, then peel.
