Lizzie Carr took up paddleboarding to get back in shape after undergoing treatment for cancer, and it wasnt long before she became dismayed by all the plastic pollution she saw floating in Englands waterways. Soon enough, Lizzie was on plastic patrol, setting distance records in her sportshes the first person to paddle the length of England and the first woman to cross the English Channel on a paddleboardall while picking up trash along the way and testing the water for micro-pollutants. Now shes getting others involved, too.
