Named after the governor of New France, Louis de Buade (known as Count of Frontenac), Fairmont le Château Frontenac was built in 1893 and stands out as a prominent landmark in Quebec City, National Historic Site in Canada, and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is perched on a tall cape overlooking the Saint Lawrence River, offering a spectacular view both of the river and cityscape that lends Canada an elegant touch of historic Europe.
