Description

Did you know that in Japan they have a hamburger that is a bit different than an American hamburger. No, we're not talking about the one's with buns, eggs, or avocados on top. They do have that. No. We're talking about the hambagu (ハンバーグ), which is very much different than the hambaga (ハンバーガー). It generally comes with no bun, is made with a mix of beef and pork, and can come with demi-glace sauce or daikon radish on top, and even some cheese inside. So the word hambaga comes from Hamburg steak, which is the original German version of the hamburger, which is named after the German city of Hamburg. At least this is what some quick Internet searching has told me.

What's a hamburger like where you're from.
