Description
Twin sisters Dani and Dezy are using punk rock music to combat suicide and substance abuse among Native American youth.
For Dani and Dezy, music was a safe haven and form of expression while growing up on the Fort Berthold Reservation as part of the Hidatsa Waterbuster Clan. Now they've formed the punk rock duo the Miracle Dolls. Based in southern California, the Miracle Dolls travel across the country performing shows on reservations and donating guitars to schools through the Native American Youth Music Program. Their goal is to bring music education programs back into Native American schools.
