Pitch drop at Trinity College Dublin successfully recorded on camera after 69 years

The pitch drop experiment at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland was started in October 1944. In April 2013, physicists at Trinity College noticed that a drip was forming, and set up a webcam to record the drip on video. The pitch dripped around 5:00pm on 11 July 2013, marking the first time that a pitch drop was successfully recorded on camera.
