Description

First shoe of the day on a bright but frosty morning. This is Ruby. Here I'm cold shoeing where no heat is involved. Please see my other videos for hot shoeing.
Filmed with my GoPro mouth mount, hence the heavy breathing!
Here is a link to the how I made it video. http://youtu.be/X7_TXzBzKas

PLEASE READ THE FAQ's BEFORE POSTING!!
1: I'm breathing heavy because I'm using a mouth mount which put the camera just in front of my nose.
2: No, it doesn't hurt the horse if it's shod correctly by a qualified registered person.
3: I fed the dog a piece of the hoof called the frog which is soft and when trimmed is a treat!
4: The majority of horses these days are worked either under saddle or in harness and on hard man made surfaces, shoes protect the feet from wearing down too much and can add grip via studs in the shoes for competition animals.
5: Wild horses are extinct. Feral horses have particularly hard feet and manage them naturally by foraging.
6: The average horse needs re-shoeing every 6-8 weeks
