Thank you Miracle Whip for sponsoring this video, as a guy from the Midwest where Miracle Whip is super popular I was super stoked for this opportunity!

If you’re not familiar, Miracle Whip is an American Made sweet and tangy condiment used for sandwiches, coleslaw, deviled eggs and in our case today panini’s!

Over the summer we made a video called “making charcoal out of used coffee grounds”. The idea here was to create an eco-friendly way to cook food and so this got me thinking, what other ways could we cook that are even MORE eco-friendly. The answer, use the one renewable source of energy that we have on surplus here on Earth and especially in Los Angeles… the SUN!

A little fun fact, more energy from the sun hits the Earth in one hour than the whole world consumes in a year! One of the most efficient ways to cook with the sun is by reflecting the rays into one area and using these rays to create heat energy, and that’s exactly what we're going to do.

In this video we turn an old TV satellite dish into a solar thermal panini maker!

I will totally admit I was SHOCKED by how hot our thermal grill got up to… almost 600 F!!! The panini we made cooked in under 4 minutes and it was so delicious my camera man made one too!
