July 2020 is a crowded month for Mars missions, but one mission in particular will be making history in more ways than one.

The Emirates Hope Probe, the first interplanetary mission for the Arab world (the countrys national space program only started in 2006), could provide us with the most comprehensive picture of the Martian atmosphere yet,

In order to get the project off the ground, the team worked with a handful of U.S. institutions, including University of Colorado Boulder and UC Berkeley, setting their sights on a better understanding of Mars atmosphere.

Watch to find out more about the teams three main objectives and the challenges they faced along the way in this Countdown to Launch.
