Earth is home to two million known insect species, but some researchers believe that there could be between 10 and 20 million on our planet. That’s a lot of bugs to discover! Luckily, there’s Refugio Amazonas. Located in one of the most biodiverse nations on Earth, this Peruvian research facility and hotel lays claim to numerous discoveries of insect species each year. But it’s not just resident biologist Daniel Couceiro or his colleague who make the new discoveries; it’s hotel guests as well.
