What is the Difference Between Turtles and Tortoises?

Most people know what turtles and tortoises are can’t clearly tell the difference between the two creatures! People commonly refer to tortoises as land turtles. But what exactly is the difference between these two animals?

There are actually some tortoises that live in rainforests. Also, some tortoises actually can swim but that doesn't mean you should ever force them to!

There are also some tortoises who eat some forms of "meat" like insects, worms, other small animals, and even carrion.
