chapter 2

"The accident was short. It felt like it wasn't even a millisecond long. My real mother, was driving down the street, taking me to school. Of course, I could hear a little back then, I was 5. My mother smiled at me, saying "Today's picture day, gorgeous!" I hate picture day. My ugly hearing aids would stick out. Did I mention that they are yellow? Eek. I wish I would have told her I hated them. I couldn't talk back then, and I never considered doing it, so I guess I could have. My mother was always nice, but I knew she hated having a dumb kid. My sister was normal, why couldn't I be? What was so wrong about me that I ended up ugly, deaf and blind. I didn't understand.

We were stopping, which meant I'd be at school in 2 minutes. I hated my school, like most kids, but mine was a deaf school, and I was the only person who only had one of their 5 senses. I had been expelled from all the normal mainstream schools because I was "too difficult". So anyways, a car, driven by a teenager by the name of Veronica, randomly came speeding through. She hit us from the front, and my mother got the biggest impact. I ended up being "paralyzed" or that's what the doctor says I am. I can move my ankles, my fingers, and toes. Everything else is there, but the feeling just isn't, almost like my "parents".

I was instantly put into a foster home, and I wanted to stay in "Happy Hills Foster Home", with me being "injured" I could spend all day with Mrs.Lacarsie, the librarian. I wasn't quite as deaf, I could hear on and off but I was mostly deaf. When I was adopted, Mrs.Larcarsie gave me her address, but my "mother" had thrown it away. Maybe she thought visiting her was unsafe? I had lived in a foster home for 3 years. Mrs. Larcarsie had fed me, took me on walks, she was like a mother to me. Now suddenly some woman wants me and she can just take me like that? I can't talk, so she just was taking me? I cried, but when I was being taken away I didn't know who was with be and who wasn't with me. I was only 7.

My new "family" had immediately put me in normal school. I hated it there. I always will. People attack me often. They might steal my lunch or something. However, I wasn't really bothered by it until Lena Beldrick had come along.

if she has been blind for most of her life, then the color and met alone word "yellow" would mean nothing to her. just a note

She has heard the word, and didn't like the word, she later on asks "someone" to explain to her colors, and it's written in past tense, meaning she's re-telling the story, as chapter 1 says "Okay, what do you want me to write?" but the audience doesn't know who she is talking to.

Very nice. I saw the message on the last chapter- I am 9 (10 next month!) but my reading level is above college level so I think I'll be good.
