Hi thalia!!! <3   Sorry for the late response, but here it is:

Tip 1: BE CONFIDENT, trust me, it's key, keep your head high, and people will think(know) that you have what it takes to be an actor/actress, but first, you need to be confident in yourself (I know I'm confident in you <3)

Tip 2: Commit to acting, don't be like me and almost give up on acting, it will get tiring and boring, but if you commit to it, you may pursue your (current) dreams!

Tip 3: Try out different voices, facial expressions, look from different perspectives, speak clearly, do hand motions, or use body language, and if you think you need improvement, then practice (practice makes perfect!)

Tip 4: Project your voice! I hear this all the time! You want the audience to hear you!

You got this! Oh, and btw, these tips are a bit loose, because I already wrote all this, but with more detail, but then I accidentally exed out of this tab, deleting everything I wrote, and I was about to not type some more, but I really want to help you, so yeah. I hope all that helps though! I wish I hadn't exed out, because then this answer could help you more! :(((

Yay!

I can answer this one :))

I would recommend joining the tech team in your school musical if you want experience in theatre.

If you're too impatient for that, I would say work on your singing, facial expressions, movement, and tone of voice. Practice theatre and improv games. Watch musicals and plays to know what to expect.

If trying out for a certain character, research them, and really try to adopt their way of speaking, personality, expressions, and way of movement.

And finally, practice! Challenge yourself with theatre games, or put on a show for friends/family.

As a stage manager, these are all things I would look for in a potential cast member.

Ok

  1. Try to play an instrument it really helps to get familiar with all kinds of music
  2.  Make a commitment
  3.  Try acting like if you're reading a book do different voices and act the character.
  4.  make little movies or plays for family and friends with a script and everything!

Me and my sister did a play for my grandma, and we had a script and everything!
