I lifted my eyes up off the desk, tears streaming down my face.
"There, There," Principal Marie whispered," You don't have to cry."
But I do! I thought miserably Leaving San Fransisco? Now?
But I sat, silent. Wishing to be gone with the wind. I slowly sat up and trudged to the door. Grammy was waiting for me. Her eyes danced like wildfire, with a firefighter, spraying water into it.
"Is there anything I can do for you? I brought cookies!" She smiled, in hopes of cheering me up.
"Thank you." I whispered weakly, "When do we leave?"
"On Friday."
Suddenly, I brightened up. It's only Monday! 5 days to make the most of it.
"Really?" I asked, the curiosity showing
"Really." Grammy nodded, and I did a silent cheer.
Friday:
I made the most of the 5 days I had left. I went to the beach, hung out with my bestest of friends, and even doing my homework early. But when it came to Friday, I knew I had not done enough.
"Bye!" I cried to Emily, Ava, Nicole, "I'll come visit!! January maybe!!!"
They nodded and I saw Emily wipe a tear. I smiled.
"I'll miss you too."
I boarded the Jeep and waved as we pulled out of the driveway, on our way to Los Angeles, California.
The End
