"Why did you allow this to bloody happen?" Arthur screamed,"Search teams, FBI, and more are crawling all over the place."
"I know." I whispered, ashamed.
He sighed. "For the only woman spy on the squad, you are the worst."
"I know."
"Leave."
I ran out, trying to hide my tears, but they were unstoppable. I rushed to my room and slammed the door shut with anger. Worst spy on the squad? Tormented, teased, and now this. I never should have joined never.
I grabbed a hot cocoa and watched the news.
"Nothing on security, and nothing seen at the burglary site last night. Now, to Kerry for the weather."
Nice, short and sweet. I am glad to hear that.
I pulled on my sweatpants and tiptoed to the exercise room. No one saw me, no one to criticise me.
I slowly walked on the treadmill, Easygoing. Suddenly, the treadmill malfunctioned and started to go so fast, it looked like cheetah speed. I couldn't keep up.
I slowly slipped off. I hit my head on the rubber and then it was lights out.
