The Night
The sun was setting,
The birds were going home.
Everything went silent.
Soon the sun was gone.
The barn owl came out of her tree.
The opossum hunted for berries.
The raccoon scurried around.
The fireflies blinked in unison.
The skunk arrived from the South.
And hours later when the sun returned,
The animals disappeared.
