I'm reading Fish In a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. It's about a girl called Ally, who has dyslexia, and she doesn't want help. She just thinks, "There's no way to cure dumbness, right?"
But then, she gets a new, different teacher. He sees the brightness and artistic ability beneath the secretive girl, and helps her with her troubles and nuturing her talents. She also makes new friends, that, like her, fits out of the crowd. Soon, she realizes, does everyone have to be the same?
I am loving this book! I started it yesterday and I'm on page 191. I would rate this a G or PG and is great for creative thinkers.
