Okay, so last we left Emily, she had just had a car crash. Here's what happens next:

__________________________{Chapter 2}______________________

It was overwhelming. Shards of glass crunched underneath Emily's palms, causing small cuts everywhere. She groaned, slightly shifting her position to see the car around her. Everything was upside-down. A pair of hands reached through the shattered window and dragged her out, accidentally scraping Emily across the jagged glass.

When she was released, she heard voices, and a distant siren. The world around them had frozen. There were cars, stopped mere feet from the crash, and groups of people talking and looking at the car. The pavement was hot and several pebbles and pieces of the wreckage poked her uncomfortably.

The sirens got louder, and someone squatted down next to Emily. "Are you okay? Are you alright? Help is on the way."

"My mother," was all Emily could think to say.

"She's just as badly hurt as you, but alive."

With another groan, Emily turned and closed her eyes, willing for the pain to stop. For everything to stop. When Emily opened her eyes again, the sirens had stopped. A blinding flashing of lights washed over her.

This certain situation brought a song to mind: "I'm a Survivor" by Destiny's Child. Emily didn't want to die. Not like this. But it hurt so bad...

Just then, a another pair of hands lifted her gently and diposited her on a stretcher."It's okay, ma'm. It's all okay. You're on your way to a hospital right now."

She was so angry in that moment. Nothing would help, so why try? Who were these people, anyway? Emily had just turned from sad to hothead.

Great. Her checkup had just turned into a full-blown operation. The ambulance seemed to drive forever, and Emily closed her eyes again, but she wouldn't go to sleep. She couldn't. She was afraid she wouldn't wake up again.
When they arrived, a tune was rattling off in the reception area. She recognized it. "Something Just Like This" by the Chainsmokers. "Oh, Mom," she whispered, seeing her mother wheeled in beside her. I don't want anything like this at ALL." and then the tiredness overcame her.

Remember, as Gemheart said, the songs give the clues of what the authors want in the next chapter, not how the characters react to it. So, for example, if the song "We are the Champions" was played, but the character wanted to lose, in the next chapter, the character would win. You see, it's not the reaction, but the song. Whoever answers first gets next chapter!
