Going to offer a proof that the answer is not 1.

Assume Infinity / Infinity = 1

Next, we can say

Infinity + Infinity = Infinity  You could claim 2 X Infinity is the answer, that just equals Infinity.

So now you have

(Infinity + Infinity) / Infinity = 1

or

Infinity/Infinity + Infinity/Infinity = 1

If Infinity / Infinity = 1, you would get

1 + 1 = 1

2 = 1, which is obviously false,

so Infinity/Infinity cannot equal 1

If you are talking about numbers sure, but infinity isn't a finite number. So you cannot use the same rules as you use for finite numbers. @cupcake549

Another proof: Let's start with our axiom again.

∞ — ∞	= 1

Next, split this fraction into two parts.
 

∞ *	1 — ∞	= 1

Solve the fraction of 1 divided by ∞. At first, you would think 1 divided by ∞ is equal to 0, however that is not correct because that would mean 0 times ∞ would equal to 1. And that is proven not true. However, 1 divided by ∞ does equal a limit approaching 0. In other words, 1 divided by ∞ does not equal a number or is undefined. (as a limit approaches closer and doesn't have a specified finite number).
So:

∞ *	undefined	= 1

As a result, we reached a dead end. Therefore, infinity divided by infinity is still undefined.

It has no answer and is undefined since infinity is not a number, but just a concept of something very big. You need actual numbers, or something that resolves to a real number, like a limiting series, to give an answer.  Sounds like you are in a very advanced math class!
