Um, i wrote a poem?

Question

People come at me with words

Yet my voice is never heard

I won't let them break me down

I will make my voice be heard all around

I will not fall into hiding under a mask of makeup

Nor let myself think the outside is what matters

I know the whispers

I know the rumors

I know what is fake and what is truth

But I prove them wrong

Prove I am strong

I know what beauty lies inside

A beauty underneath better than any beauty outside

 

I chose to have something unexplainable with words or pictures

Than to seem like a picture clearly fake

I chose to show my true self

Than to let it be buried it something else

I chose to make myself heard, even in the silenceing of my voice

I chose to let people know my choice,

And to know it will not change

I am not a girl on the cover on a magizine

I am not the most popular, nor most pretty

I am the one who knows what is true, and what is right, and what is inside
