River took a breath and blinked hard. For an odd reason, she had this odd feeling in her stomach, but then she realized Gage has been staring at her for a long amount of time at lunch. She glanced behind her and Nora, who was blushing red...
“Hey?” He said, “Can I sit here?”
River nodded after glancing at Nora, “Okay.”
Gage smiled and sat down beside Nora. She snapped back to consciousness. “Hi!” She said, her wolf ears twitching.
Gage grinned and pulled out a large textbook and slammed it on the table. Nora and River shot each other a look and went back to eating, while he leafed through the book and held it up to his face. Despite his small stature, which was very close to River’s, he was quite strong.
“HIYYA!” Miles bumped into River and swung an arm around her. “Hey Nora!” He added.
Randy appeared behind Miles and sat besides Nora. “Hi,” he said softly to her, and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
River glanced at them. “What’s going on?” She grinned micheviously.
“You’ve got Loki in ya,” said Gage.
“Huh?!” Said everyone at the table.
Gage blinked. “Loki, Norse mythology. Mischief god. Ringing any bells?” He blinked again. “ Oh.”
Nora gestured River over to the side. “Can I talk to you?”
