(Drapple) The One That Got Away
Chapter One: Draco’s POV
I remember it like yesterday, me sitting under that green oak apple tree as the summer sun hit my face. I ran under the tree to avoid getting tan, after all, I need to stay pale as possible. I sat one the grass that kind of itched, a little bored. I clearly remember sitting there and thinking, what is going on? I heard that m*dblood Granger talking with Pottah and Weasel. Those idiots. I could only try to not care about whatever they were whispering about, looking at the ground. Under that apple tree were many apples that had fallen to the ground. I felt bad for those apples, awfully bad that it started eating at me.
Then, that’s where it happened.
Something hit my head as I yelled, “OW!”
“WHAT WAS THAT?!!” I screamed, looking around me to find a huge, green apple. It was perfect, I fell in love with her immediately. She was a perfect shade of light green, her stem dark brown and no bruises from the fall. Instantaneously I fell out of the trance, “What?!” I picked her up, then smelling her sweetness that I wanted to take a huge bite out of her, I knew I couldn’t.
“UGH!” I yelled, placing the apple down. I could hear the golden trio laughing at me. “Look, Malfoy’s gone frustrated.” They laughed, I could feel my face turning red from anger. I wanted to bounce on them and attack, but I knew I would just get beaten up Weasley, again. What a muggle way to start a fight.
“Help me…” I heard something, a light feminine voice come from somewhere. Must be someone playing at trick on me. “Please…Draco…” I looked down as I saw the apple opening it mouth. I jumped back, scared. How do apples even talk? I asked myself, looking closer at the situation. “Draco…please!” The first thought that came to my mind was, how did she know my name?
“Pick me up…” she said, as I did so. I felt her soft, thin green skin.
“What do you want?” I could almost hear her breath going short.
“I want you to…take me to a better place!” she said more clearer, less then a whisper this time. More of a quiet yell. “Draco…take me to your dorm! I just need to find some place to get out the heat, I don’t want to die. Do you want me to die?”
I thought of that for a moment, then quickly responded. “No!...Never!!!” I said loudly as all the Hogwarts students looked at me, including Pansy Parkinson. She’s been bothering me for ages now, following me around wherever I went, etc. I couldn’t handle it, she’s been stalking me!!
Pansy walked over to me, as I sighed. “What do you want Pansy?” I asked, she sat next to me as I could feel apple’s expression went to a frown. Apple whispered something to me, or at least I thought it was to me. “Who’s this dumb witted pug-faced looking thing?” Apple said, I could feel the tension as I couldn’t respond, or even agree. Pansy still thinks I like her!! Can you believe it? Plus, I only took her to the yule ball because she practically begged me.
“Draco? What was that?” Pansy asked, looking down at Apple. Oh no. She heard.
“Nothing, It’s just your imagination! Hmph!” I gruffer, pushing her arm off mine.
“Fine. I’m going to go find Blaise, I’d better no hear any nastier insults spew from someone’s mouth!” Pansy looked around, quite angry. She walked away slowly, and once she was gone, I let out a big sigh. Apple then gave me a winking face I saw her pure white apple “flesh”. “Who’s that?” Apple asked, she sounded jealous.
“My girlf- no one to be concerned about.” I lied to her, I didn’t want to lose our relationship, even if we just met, I feel like I had fallen in love with her.
“Oh! The sun is killin’ me! Let’s go inside, Draco please!” she hollered. I took her in my arms once more. “SHH BE QUIET!!!” I quietly yelled at her. She grinned, at this point I just imagined that she had human skin like mouth talking back at me.
“Well…” she said. She had an American accent, that’s one fine American apple.
“Let’s go,” she continued.
I then walked off the my dorm, talking to the green apple the whole way as many people stared at me, confused, like I was crazy…
