A sharp sound ripped through the dark room. I had just woken up. It was one of those moments where you are forced awake by some sort of pain, pain so powerful that nothing can stop it and you're only left wheezing and spluttering. As I crawled to a sort of stopping position, I quickly turned on the light so I could get up.
Dripping from my mouth were thick streams of blood, darker than I had ever seen it before.
The next day, I decided to visit Tom and Lucas. We had decided to stay in Hogwarts until we figured out who the murderer was, so I was bunking at Hagrid's.
It was a cool autumn day as I walked up to the castle, my scarf wrapped thrice around my neck. As I entered the corridors and passed all the people, I noticed a commotion as I entered the dungeons.
Tom... and a girl? Talking?
I approached them once I entered the common room. The girl glanced at me, and I looked back at her. "How'd you get in here? Did you know the password?"
The girl was focused on Tom, so she didn't answer. I didn't see Lucas anywhere. Where was he? I shivered, starting to worry. Had he been taken by someone? I shook my head, told myself to quit worrying.
The girl smiled and left, but I had a feeling I would see her again. Or maybe she was just a random kind Hufflepuff. I didn't know what to think, though her being here before me to check on Tom was rather impressive.
"Asia," Tom said shakily, grabbing my shoulder. "Handison… Andrew... they were just here."
I stared at him. "What?"
"Andrew killed that boy. I don't know why."
I helped Tom sit down on the couch, and looked into his fervent eyes. "Okay," I said. "Tell me what happened. Start at the beginning, don't leave anything out."
Tom told me everything, even if it took me a while to get him to tell me.
"Andrew is our murderer. That kid who was smoking earlier? Handison has purple eyes, so Albus.. Albus was being controlled by him or something? Or maybe one of his minions with purple eyes?" I stopped. "Tom," I said. "Do you remember Wren?"
Tom nodded. "The lady Handison murdered? Yeah."
"Well," I said. "I remember Handison saying something about Wren, saying that she was now Wren 2.0. Tom," I said, "I think Handison brought her back to life and is making her do things."
"Like what?" he asked.
I sighed. "Everything I have been trying to do here," I began, "like getting us all together so we could go take out Handison, has been thwarted. Handison is trying to slow us down, maybe he's trying to get something? McGonagal said, about a year ago, that she had seen Wren, even after she had died. Maybe... maybe Wren is somewhere in this school, trying to get something for Handison?"
Tom blinked, something piecing together in his mind.
"Tom," I said slowly, "Where's Lucas?'
Handison be like, I can't have Tom or Asia, let's take the blind kid! I pulled a twist of my own on ya, Knight!!! AHHHHAHAHAHA! Hope you liked it!
