The Cookie Theft
I am about ready to close my mom's bakery. Just as I leave the office, I see that the cookies have vanished from the plate. Its odd. The cookies were just place. Where had they gone? Only my sister and mom work here. I search the bakery, Sarah could have easily misplaced the plate. Maybe someone bought all 36. Its odd. I check the cash register, the last time it was used, the person bought cheese cake. I am the only one here right now. Soon I see a group of high school boys open the door. I am only 12. I only help pass my mom the sweets. I greet them. I walk behind the counter. They order 36 cookies for the football team. Its odd how they need 36. I tell them we are out of cookies. They say they would pay double. I reply with: Sorry. Someone stole the cookies. One of the boys says the team they are playing with tonight said they were going to get us good. I think I've figured out who did it, First Balliu School. I call my mom. I tell the boys its on the house, and tell them they'll be some cookies out soon. My mom comes in from the store. She sets down a bag of flour and calls the principal of FBS. Soon I find out the teams aren't going to play tonight. My mom makes cookies. The boys leave smiling while munching on cookies. This has been another Crime on Block Street.
