You know, you can be quite insensitive and rude.
I definitely get that you don’t have a problem with us except for the religious aspect. So, am I “too young to understand”? I got 127/128 in my transfer exams so I’m not entirely pea-brained. I’m definitely not too immature (although if someone makes a bum joke I will snigger like a 3-year-old). I’d like to know, what age are you, why do you “understand”?
I have been taught Christian Education at school, I have been brought up a Christian, I live in a very mainstream-Christian society, so naturally it it interests me. I understand quite a lot about the Bible, but definitely not all of it. I am still young and I have a lot to learn. I am not some arrogant know-it-all preteen who thinks they totally understand this, because I don’t, although I’m not totally stupid either.
I completely accept that some of my opinions might be wrong, but until I learn more about this, they are still my opinions and they are just as right or wrong as yours because I only know what I know and you only know what you know. Although, I think I know a bit more about it than you think I do.
People can have different interpretations and understandings of the same teachings. Even the Bible sometimes is wrong, because even though it is God’s book, it was not written by God, it was written by people for God, so it is their understanding of God’s teachings, not God’s exact teachings, in the Bible. No one can ever completely understand God.
I appreciate that your views are unchangeable and I am not condemning them at all but I would like you to open your mind just a little bit. Perhaps you do not know and understand everything about God, so maybe just think about it a little while. We can agree to disagree as long as we can be civil to each other and not start stupid arguments like this one again. I guess I’ll just go and “hide in my fanfiction cave” and you can go hide in yours.
