So... first of all, I would just like to say, if any of you hate on this post or any comments / answers coming from it, I will be VERY ANGRY. This post has been created for the purpose of expressing thoughts and opinions and not for bullying or religious hatred to anyone of any religion or beliefs.
I am not part of any particular religion. I suppose I have some elements of all of them in there somewhere, but I am not part of one religion. I don’t go to church / mosque / temples / worship. I suppose I am quite spiritual, I have lots of beliefs. I’m going to talk about several of my thoughts.
No matter what race, gender, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, politics, appearance, IQ, age, ability, nothing. If there is a God (don’t hate on me for saying that), it / they loves everyone equally. It is not a sin to be mixed race / gay / an educated girl etc. Everyone is equal and we all deserve to be treated with respect, kindness and dignity.
- If there is a God, it loves you.
I believe that if God exists, it loves you. It doesn’t want you to fear it, you should respect it. There is already enough human (and animal) love to go around anyway, so the thought that there’s this force that’s in everything that loves everyone too is just so much love it’s mind-blowing. Some Valentine’s Day for God, huh?
- All religions are strands of one.
I think that all religions have the same goal: to be good people and have meaning in life. I’ve looked at different religions and yes, there are elements of them that are completely contradictory, but they do mostly have the same values: be kind, look after the planet, don’t kill people etc. They do fit quite well together.
- People can worship any way they like.
Fasting, going to church, praying, celebrating festivals, doing nothing, singing carols, meditating... everyone has their own way of trying to get closer to their spiritual self, so don’t judge that. Their way of worshipping their beliefs is just as ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ as yours. Everybody is just trying to understand life, so you shouldn’t try to force your religion on other people. I believe that that is very unethical (sinful, some would call it).
- God, if it exists, can never be truly known.
I have found the deities and Brahman aspect of Hinduism very interesting; Hindus worship lots of different images (gods and goddesses) because they believe that they can never fully understand God, so they use different things to represent God, and by worshipping these things they are worshipping God. I think (if it exists) God is a very complex, intelligent, special thing that no human could ever dream of even slightly understanding.
- Killing the Earth is an enormous ‘sin’, if that’s what you call it.
Think about it: the Earth is so amazing, and we’re destroying it. God (if it exists) would be absolutely livid. If we didn’t have the Earth, we wouldn’t exist. It’s not ours, it belongs to itself and all the animals and plants that live on it too. Look after it.
So... that was quite a long rant. Hope you enjoyed it. If you have a question, comment or an opinion of your own, please reply or comment!
Disclaimer: These are my opinions and you are entirely entitled to your own, I’m not telling you what to think. I don’t want replies promoting religions or preaching, though, so please don’t post that.
Peace :)
