Blog help!

Question

I’m going to make a blog. I have an utterly huge notebook all about it packed with links, pictures, ideas etc, etc. I have read crazy amounts of articles about starting up a blog and I get emails every day from blogging websites etc., but I need help and advice with real people, one-on-one. Here’s a bit about it:

• about fashion, photography and sustainability
• retro-ish style, clean white lines etc.
• weekly-ish posts
• needs to be free to run
• I don’t want money from it
• prefer not to have to use social media (I’m not 13)
• going to have a lot of pictures

Any help/advice/ideas from any of you (bloggers or not) would be really awesome. Thanks!

 

PS. To those of you who have posted about your blogs, I checked them out. They’re really good.

PPS. To all the peeps who read my mini-blog The Sisterhood, I am really busy with schoolwork at the moment so I will post less often. Remember that any reader can post in the blog (if you want). Sorry :(

I don't have much advice. Here's what I have:

Write for your audience. Figure out who your audience is kids, teens, young adults, adults, elders, etc.

Always make sure your writing is the best it can be. Correct grammar, spelling, wordings, etc.

Pick a good topic that you have a lot to say about. That way you can come up with alot of ideas for posts.which I bet you have :)

Pick an idea that you think other people would be interested in.So, maybe don't talk about the boring things to do wi th your topic.

Pick a good theme that is easy to read and had a look to match the blog. This really depends on the program.

I recommend using Blogger (google ran) but that would be social media.
