Every muslim knows what halal and haram means, but here are some facts about halal and haram foods

1. Simple Pig Foods (Pig meat is not allowed in Islam, and no, it's not because we worship pigs, and we don't worship pigs) Sausage, Bacon, Pork, Ham, Pork Gelatin, etc.

2. Food that has been given to another God, for example if you find some grapes in a holy temple and another man gave it to a Goddess then took it back, then it's %100 not allowed for us at all.

3. Anything with Alcohol. Beer, Wine, Vodka, none of it is allowed.

Here is a list of things that are not allowed but it's not a food.

1. Witchcraft: Like many other religions black magic is prohibited.

2. LGBT. None of them are allowed. You can only have one gender, and you can't marry someone from a different gender.

3. Worshiping someone other than Allah. Nope, not allowed.

4. You can't be christian or hindu and muslim at the same time in your life but you can convert to Islam.

So is Harry Potter haram then? BTW I’m not making fun, just interested, I read an article about some Catholics burning Harry Potter books because they thought they had black magic in them.

I am not Muslim or Catholic, but I think it's because Harry Potter has symbolic references that these religious people take in serious (which, they should according to their beliefs, so they are not in wrong.) A lot of pop culture has a lot of faces which can either be perceived wrongly or rightly.

For Catholics, I think it is the idea that at an early age, witchcraft is thought to be loved and real. Specially when you adore the books, it becomes normal. A good thing. I don't believe witchcraft is a entirely good thing because there are a lot of witch doctors who commit wrong doing.

But that's my take on it ig.

It’s nice to learn about different religions and cultures!

Also, on the LGBT I think you meant to say that you can ONLY marry the other gender.

Yeah sorry. And guys, reading or watching black magic is allowed, doing black magic is not allowed. Like christians can't do black magic but they can watch and read it. So Harry Potter is totally safe to read and watch.
