Same thing will th me but ask your mom when she got hers girls some times get there periods around there when there mom got hers.

I started getting some cramps but some girls don't get them as much. I get them a lot. The cramps just mean that your period is coming soon. I hope this helps!

Don't worry you will hit it sooner or later, but I agree with Awesome kitty  I got mine about the same age as my mom but I'm only 9.
