Advice?

Hi! so, in October, I met this guy (on Snapchat. my parents are ok with having it as long as I'm safe). We liked each other and started dating. In November, we broke up bc I needed time to recover from my recent suicide attempt. When I got back from the mental hospital, we started talking again and got back together. But the girl from the ambulance ride who drove with me messaged me and asked me out. I then broke up with the guy again cuz I wasn't sure what to do (my stupid indecisiveness). afterwards, we kinda stayed friends cuz he wasn't comfy with a relationship atm, but he was kinda drifting away from me and that's kinda scary tbh. I was afraid he would leave me and like that really, really scared me. Then, a couple of days ago he told me he lost feelings. This was really hard for me bc I gave him everything bc I was sure he was the one. I literally sent him a Christmas gift from across the country! I cried for hours and it still hurts. Any advice to completely get over him?

I'm so sorry you feel this way. It's a lot to handle, especially now. You'll never completely get over them, you'll always remember the feelings, and believe you still have them. But a tip that helps to know is that you're pretty young. You can experiment with ALL methods of dating and flirting since you have time before it really matters.

Wow...whenever this happens i would expect that something bad like "this" Would happen! I've had it done a ton of times...sometimes they were abusive online....the thing u need to know is: " Never have a REAL dating relationship if you don't know them irl....dating online isn't a good idea"...you don't rly know who is behind the screen or not.(i'm guessing you did) But its still good to not date online. bc of this: "what would happen if the person had a cute boy as his pfp...he said he liked you and he wanted to meet up because he lived close to you. You meet up and he says here drink this. u take it but its a drug....(your all his) Get my point?

I’m a mom of a 10 year old so maybe this will help. 

As a kid I went through a lot of this so I know how you feel, it burns.

 It really depends on your age.

5-8 You have a long time. Have friends not boy/girl friends

9-10 Just be close friends. Just enjoy being a kid. 

11-13 Start to find people you’d like but be cautious and don’t date yet...

13-15 Find boys you like maybe go on a few dates but only FUN dates not “go out and propose” dates. Treat them like friends.

16-18 Talk to parents and go out on dates if you want.

I know this is a super hard situation that no one likes. Keep in mind that if you want a husband,  you’ll probably find a great one at some point. Just be patient and keep being YOU. When you date someone remember that this might happen and do what you want in mind that there is like a 50/50 chance of this situation. Spend time with friends and don’t worry about that boy. 

I hope you feel better soon and I’m so sorry you had to go through this. You can always talk to family about this kind of stuff too if you want.

Thank you! I'm 11, but he meant a lot to me that' s why I took the break up kinda hard. Btw, I'm bi, so i like boys AND girls! Again, thank you for the advice I appreciate it!

Really, you can’t set a specific age for dating. It just comes naturally.
