chapter one: Decision Time Growing up was hard for me. My peers and classmates didn't understand the struggles of having a deaf mother. My dad had to attend all the PTA's, and sadly to say, people started asking me if I even had a mother. This really upset me, and I told them she couldn't hear, but they kept on believing that I was hiding behind an alibi, to conceal the truth. That's fine, though. There are some things that people may never understand. And I am one of those people. My mom was sitting in the kitchen on a Monday morning, and my dad called a family meeting. Me and my twin sister Sapphire, trudged downstairs with tangles in our stomachs. "What did you call a meeting for, dad?" Sapphire asks. 'It's about me', my mother signed. "What about her?" I asked, anxiously. "So me and your mother were thinking about how we, as a family, could communicate better, considering our, 'situation'. And we found something on the internet, a 'cochlear implant'." "So?" I asked. "So, it's a procedure that will help her to hear, and I think we should take it. Your mother agrees," he finished. I ran upstairs. Sapphire followed me. "SURGERY??" we both screamed. The reason that we were so freaked out was because nobody in our family has ever had any surgery like that. We knew that the other was thinking. WE, WERE TERRIFIED.
Please make a chapter 2 that story is very good!!!!!!!!!!!!
