Would purple look good on brown hair?

I want to dye my hair purple either in a streak or  tips . ,but how well would it work?

I died my tips purple and first they bleached it. I LOVED my purple hair.

OKAY I KNOW THIS IS OLD BUT I MUST

It depends on the brown hair. If it has reddish undertones you would want to get a much more reddish-purple, or like a dark magenta. But it has cooler undertones then a normal purple would look great!

It looks really good I have brown hair and did the tips purple before but I used a one day spray

Honestly I think a purple streak would be better in black hair.

I think it would look good! but you’d probably have to bleach it first
