Hello, welcome to the Hayden Tutors KidzTalk series! Today I will help you understand and master the point system on KidzTalk. Let's dive in....

This is a screenshot of the number of points for each action done on website:

For new users, I will summarize this right now! So when you create an account on KidzTalk, you will automatically have 100 points. Get some help by asking a question, and you will earn 20 points. Answering a question gives you 40 points!

Those were some ways of earning! Now I will show you a stat I made called EPR (Estimated Point Revenue):

This is a example of a EPR: answer 2 questions and make 2 questions, answers get 40. so 2 x 40 or 40 + 40 = 80, and posting a question gives 20. 2 x 20 or 20 + 20 = 40, so 80 + 40 = 120. For the example, the EPR would be 120.

How much activity a post will get based off the preview

This isn't the type of post I normally make, but it might be helpful for anyone just getting started, or if you feel like your posts aren't getting much attention ^^

I've been on KT for almost a year now, and have posted over 300 questions, and here's what I've noticed about how people interact with posts based off of that first bit you can view without clicking on it (you know what I mean)

Take a look at my three most recent posts, for example

Questions with titles that ask questions

When someone asks a question where the title is a question (Anyone else seen Hunter x Hunter?) It will attract people who love, hate, or have knowledge on that topic. It's letting people know exactly what they need to say if they answer, and usually get a handful of answers pretty quick. Especially if it's about something currently happening or popular.

Posts about yourself

(Manga I read today)

Posts about yourself tend to go two ways. Hair reveals, fit checks, etc tend to get quite a bit of attention, and more niche posts tend to get a bit less. Including your name in a post like this could also boost the attention, because it tells people more about the post and what to expect.

Posts that are asking other users about themselves

(If you do this, you scare me) can get more attention because it's a post that anyone can answer. Might get more views/answers if it's about something more people can relate to.

Posts about a personal problem

Especially urgent ones, tend to get a lot of answers because people who can help or provide advice feel more inclined to answer something if it's going to possibly help this person out.

Ragebait/Controversial posts

Rage baiting people gets a bunch of answers, but not usually many upvotes, because the whole point of ragebaiting is to get people upset and cause them to leave an answer, which boosts the posts popularity. The same goes for controversial titles, because much like ragebait, it's title is going to make people want to click on it and leave an answer stating their opinions.

Other factors

User popularity: Posts by users like Pumpkin, Corvette, and Kedi get a lot of attention because of who's posting it. Even if you can't see the user who posted it just by looking at the preview screen, if it's in the blog for someone who's popular, it's bound to get attention.

Upvotes and Views: A post with a bunch of views and upvotes get more attention because they're already popular. If two posts are next to each other on the home screen, and one has 2 upvotes and 18 views, and another has 24 upvotes and 300 views, more people are likely to click on the popular one first because of how other users have already done the same.

Thank you for making it to the end of this post, this isn't my normal stuff to write about, but I thought it might be interesting. Keep in mind that I've only been around for a year, and this is just based off what I've seen.
