Review of Italo Calvino's book The Lair of the Spiders' Nests

So my teacher gave me five books to read for the summer, and one of them was an Italo Calvino book. If you don't know who Italo Calvino was, you'll learn about the partisan resistance in eighth grade. So, Italo Calvino was a partisan and a writer. His book, The Lair of the Spiders' Nests, is about a 10-year-old boy who lives in a run-down environment and whose only friends are adults who have bad influences. After many adventures, he ends up living with partisans. I can't really say much about this book, since they'll probably ban my review if I mention certain things about it. I can only tell you that it's a beautiful classic that, even though it's old, makes you think a lot, is sad, and very readable. It also helps a lot to understand the fascist era in Italy with the eyes of a child.

For me its a 5/5 book!

Im huge on anime and i dont really cry unless its for joy So im watching moves and i react the exact same im like completely stonefaced but when me and my dad watched demon slayer the infinity castle movie part 1, MY DAD ACTUALLY CRIED (Btw ive only seen him cry 1 time) I Cried a little bit near the end but i did also cry watching the final episode of mha as it finally was completely over. If you’ve never watched "Kirby: Right Back at Ya!", you’re seriously missing out. This cartoon is so much fun! It's from the early-2000s and was based on the Kirby games from Nintendo, but instead of just jumping around and sucking up bad guys, Kirby’s actually living in Dream Land with a bunch of cool (and kinda weird) characters.

Kirby doesn’t talk much—he mostly just says “poyo!”—but somehow he’s still super expressive and adorable. He’s always helping out his friends and saving the day, even though he’s basically just a round little puffball.

The cartoon mixes action, comedy, and a bit of drama in a way that totally works. You’ve got:

King Dedede, who's always coming up with ridiculous plans to get rid of Kirby (and failing every time),
Sister Tiff and little brother Tuff, who are like Kirby’s best friends and the smart ones of the group,
And Meta Knight, who’s mysterious and cool and actually helps train Kirby sometimes.

What’s also fun is how they brought in some of Kirby’s superpowers from the games. One minute he’s normal Kirby, and the next he’s Sword Kirby or Fire Kirby—it’s so satisfying to watch.

The animation is a little old-school, especially the 3D parts (they look kinda clunky now), but honestly, it gives the show its own style. And the voice acting? Hilarious. Especially King Dedede—he’s got this Southern accent that’s totally over-the-top but weirdly perfect.

In short: if you like Kirby, cartoons with adventure and heart, or just something that’ll make you smile, definitely check out "Kirby: Right Back at Ya!". It’s silly, charming, and honestly kind of iconic.

At first I thought Kpop Demon Hunters was going to be trash. Like the name sounded dumb. But, when I watched it, it was great!

   It has a good storyline, interesting characters, a good moral, and catchy songs!

   The moral is about identity, or finding where you belong. It's about how you can choose what kind of person you want to be.

   It's a great movie and you should watch it.

Coming from someone who’s seen 7 Broadway shows, this one was by far the best. I genuinely love tragic stories, and this checked all the boxes. Romance, tragedy, death, segregation (NOT IN THE RACIST SENSE), etc. I absolutely love Ponyboy’s character and I genuinely SOBBED when Johnny died.

You can watch the slime tutorial on YouTube, but I think the only way to truly get the best experience is seeing it live. My favorite scene was the scene where they k1ll Bob, especially when it blacks out and then comes back. I liked the entire scene though, like the parts where Ponyboy gets put under water.

The part where Dally jumped in front of the train would insanely triggered me, but it surprisingly didn’t because I kinda expected it. Your closest friend dies and well…I would too honestly

My favorite song was Great Expectations because it’s just AWESOME!! The harmonies sound like a train!!

if you don't know, Jarritos is a Mexican soda, and ive grown to like them. I haven't had all of the flavors though, but my dad did buy me a pack with all of the flavors in them. :)

pineapple- 9/10 yes very good

mandrin- 8/10, really good flavor

Lime- 9/10 its lime

guava- 3/10. lwk kinda tastes what I think lavender flowers would taste like.

passion fruit- haven't tried

strawberry- 10/10 very good

So I joined 5 days ago. Helped some people, but never got picked. Strict because i follow the ipad topic so yeah, but I can’t respond due to: do not disturb - because I’m always gonna get pinged at 11:00AM in the morning. I’ve also gotten 18 points, yes it’s actually hard to get points because you have to wait 3 minutes for new points but kidztalk only 30 seconds. What do I rate the experience? 6/10.

Hello! I am gonna be reviewing the #3rd book in Warriors: The broken code, as always spoiler warning!!!

Anyways, lets hop right in:

The story follows 3 cats point of views- Rootpaw- later Rootspring, Shadowsight, and Bristlefrost.

And we have an imposter among u- im so sorry lol

Rip Stemleaf and all the cats that died in the battle, also we holding The imposter hostage :D

I like Spiresight and headcanon him to be a walking spirit lamp XDXD-

Also Mistystar really becoming the next Imposter???? :O Did he manipulate her or smth?
Also at this point if I had read this book when it came out, I would have put the puzzle peices together to know exactly who the Imposter is.... but im not telling you! hehehehehehehe

9/10 pretty enertaining! I LOVED the Spiresight and Shadowsight chapters they were fun to read, and OH MY STARCLAN the scene when Shadowsight is spying in Thunderclan camp as a spirit and The imposter's eyes turn blue and he confesses that gave me straight up goosebumps

This is the #2nd book of the 7th warrior cats arc, it follows 3 cats by the names of: Rootpaw, Shadowpaw- Later Shadowsight, and Bristlefrost (I love her smmm)

Anyways back to reviewing THIS book! :D
I thought Rootpaws POV chapters were pretty intresting, I love when Tree tolld him to "Be a bush" (This wont make sense unless you know the context)

Bristlefrost was pretty good too but I mostly liked her chapters because thats where we learn all about the impost amo- im so sorry I meant Bramblestars imposter!11!1!!

And oml I remember when I first read this, at the end I was so shocked when Shadowsight was attacked by..... well youll find out once I finish Veil of shadows ;)

I feel bad for Antfur :C rip

The chicken strips: 8/10 they’re just like any chicken strips I’ve ever had

The chicken sandwich:7/10 pretty good

Sides:

The waffle fries: 10/10 they are SOO BUSS

The fruit cups: 7.5/10 they’re good fruits but you can get fruits from the grocery store

The milkshakes: (this is a whole category because theyrs lots of flavors to rate)

Cookies n cream milkshake: 9.5/10

Vanilla milkshake: 5/10 pretty good but basic

Chocolate milkshake: 6.5/10 I don’t really like chick fil a’s choco milkshakes but they’re ok

Peppermint milkshake (seasonal:Christmas): 7.5/10 pretty good but kinda taste like toothpaste

It was when I was in Chicago with my family and friends for a hockey tournament and we got Wendy’s after a game. I got a burger and I said I wanted bacon on it, cuz I was hungry. I had had Wendy’s before but never any burgers from there. Always nuggets or something. I was picking out drinks with my friends and then the people working there gave us our food. I looked, AND THERE WAS NO BACON, I MEAN, COME ON! HOW COULD YOU MESS THAT UP? I didn’t say anything to the worker cuz I was too hungry to wait anymore so we all just sat down at a table and ate. I tried the burger and it was dIsCuStInG. I didn’t finish it cuz I didn’t like it. The only good part of that meal was the coke and the fries. No offense Wendy’s lovers, but I will not be going back for a burger ever again! 3/10!
