Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple and inventor of the iphone was looking to make a mix of an iPod (mp3 player), a cellular phone and an internet communicator to access webpages and whatnot.

Limitations were that you couldn't really download any apps, couldn't record videos, couldn't send videos, couldn't copy and paste and no 3G support, Of course, this only applies to the original iPhone but still ur answer.

The success of the iPhone made competitors want to make phones like that to keep up with the tech industry causing future inventors to create devices like that but with better features.

as someone who had a samsung for about 2 years and now has an apple, i personally think that iphones are better. my samsung worked pretty well the first 5-6 months, but slowly started to break down. i would always get this message like “system UI isn’t responding”, and whenever i reset it, it would go back to normal, but the message would appear again after like 2 days. one day, i was on call with my friend, and i got the message. i decided to click the “close app” button for it to restart my phone, and it ended up breaking my phone (the phone would not turn on). this might have just been me, but from my personal experience, samsung’s are pretty bad. my iphone 16, on the other hand, has been working well ever since i (well, my parents) purchased it in may. it never glitches unless water gets on it (which is my fault), it doesn’t show any error codes, and it ALWAYS turns on after resetting. yes, samsung’s may be better quality-wise, but iphones definitely last longer (battery level is a different story).

My opinion on replacing fossil fuels with green energy.

Yes, I agree the concept of green energy is good and it can be good for the economy. The problem is, It is not always sustainable. some of the methods that we use to get Green Energy today are more rudimentary, and are not beneficial to mass produce, much less to replace using fossil fuels entirely.

For example, wind turbines may seem to be harmless, but the turbines actually produce lots of pollution. for one, they kill millions of birds each year. (most being larger rare birds that can't dodge the blades as easily.) They disrupt wind patterns, look extremely visually unappealing, require tons of maintenance, generate lots of noise pollution, require thousands of gallons of synthetic oil to operate efficiently, most parts can't be recycled (lots of fiberglass /resins), are very expensive (takes decades to start generating profit), require lots of space, require lots of materials that are not obtained using sustainable methods (mining), and are environmentally harmful to build/decommission if the turbines are mass produced.

Solar panels are better but are still not environmentally sustainable to mass produce right now because they, are difficult to produce (so complicated to make), take up a lot of space to generate a lot of power (putting them on roofs is a good idea), require lots materials can't be recycled efficiently/sustainably, requires lots of rare earth minerals that are not obtained using sustainable methods, generate less efficient DC power (harder to transport long distances without converting to AC power. Which will reduce efficiency). Solar panels are beneficial. but I do not think it is a good idea to replace massive infrastructure with solar panels just to slow climate change. Because it would not be economically beneficial.

Hydro power, and geothermal energy are great alternatives to burning fossil fuels but these methods can't be implemented on a mass scale. I think that we should research additional sustainable energy methods (like fusion power) while improving current methods. right now, I think we should not attempt to replace fossil fuels entirely. Because it would not be economically viable. instead of mass scale changes to less efficient methods, we should slow climate change by planting trees. and encouraging more sustainable industrial practices.
