Bud Crawford makes boxing history

Basically, the little boxer from Omaha, Nebraska just beat Canelo Alvarez in a 12 round boxing match.

Crawford moved up two weight divisions to challenge Canelo for his belts.

And guess what? He won, against freaking Canelo Alvarez, a literal legend in the sport.

He's a four division world champion now, and has made boxing history books by being the first guy to be undisputed in three boxing weight classes.

The fight was amazing to watch, Crawford is just smooth and fast in the ring. He doesn't back down, and returns punches incredibly fast.

It was 3 months of training. He was ready for his first amateur match. “Alright kid, remember your guard adjustments. Start with the standard at first. If you get to the third round, go philly shell. If he keeps throwing hooks, go with a low stance so you can duck em. If he’s weak enough and he’s stunned, go with the low guard so you can throw some uppercuts. Let’s tear em up.” Olsen said. “Alright, lets go.” Logan said. He entered the ring, ready for the fight. There was about 100 people watching. He was fighting a 5-0 guy who was a great fighter. 5 KOs, coming from of Chicago, he had a decent fanbase. “Kinda looks like Mr. Sandman but shorter.” Logan said. “Mr. Who?” Olsen said. “Nevermind.” Logan replied. They got to the center of the the ring. “Alright gentlemen, you know the rules. I want a good clean fight. Watch your kidney punches, rabbit punches, and low blows. Touch gloves.” The ref said. They touched gloves and went to their corners. “Fight!” The ref said. Logan danced around, looking at his opponent, Wyatt Ryan, and examining his stance, guard, and weaknesses. He saw that his guard was a bit too low. His face was open. He threw some jabs. Ryan took them. Ryan threw some jabs of his own, with some of them landing, and most being blocked. Ryan threw a body blow, which Logan blocked. Logan threw a cross punch, which landed, and knocked ryan back. Logan advanced towards him, throwing alot of combinations. A cross stunned Ryan. Logan switched to a low guard and threw an uppercut, which was dodged by Ryan, who started his own attack. He threw some hooks that were dodged, and Logan switched to a low stance to duck them. He did, and Ryan stopped. Logan threw a quick hook, and the round ended before Ryan could retaliate. They went to the corners. “Great first round kid, but you’re going a bit too slow, switch those guards earlier and you’ll be fine.” Olsen said. The bell rang. Round 2. “FIGHT!” The ref said. Ryan rushed in, and threw some strong punches which were blocked. He tried to throw a hook, but was ducked under, and Logan threw a strong punch to Ryan’s arm. Ryan retreated and shaked his arm a bit. “That ain’t nothing kid, come on.” Ryan said. “You wanna bet?” Logan replied. He rushed at Ryan and threw some quick punches. He then backed Ryan into a corner and threw some body blows. Ryan slowly advanced out of the corner, but Logan threw a strong hook as he was getting out to knock him down. “1,2,3,4,5,” the ref said. Ryan got up. Ryan went on the attack, getting some good hits on Logan. Logan was taking some punishment, but Logan made a counterattack. He stunned Ryan and quickly switched to a low guard. He threw some big uppercuts which all landed, and he knocked Ryan down again. “1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10! You’re out!” The ref said. Logan flexed a little and raised his hand up in victory. “Alright kid, I’ll train ya. You got me.” Olsen said. “How many more matches until we do tournaments?” Logan said. “9, but we can do 9 matches in about a month and a half.” Olsen said. “After the tournaments?” Logan asked. “Golden Gloves. You win, we go pro.” Olsen replied. “Alright then, lets go to work.” Logan said, confident.

“Mom, im dropping out of college.” Logan said. “Why?” Logan’s mom Cecilia asked. “The real question is why not. I’ve been in this dump for 2 years, my academic preformance is horrible, im getting bullied, and im getting no where in life.” Logan said back. “Alright, do it. You’re good at making presentations just like your father was.” Cecilia said back. “Thanks mom. Love you, im gonna go tell them im out.” Logan replied. He went to the college and informed them of his drop out. “I should become a boxer.” He said to himself. Luckily, there was a boxing convention nearby where some boxers, former boxers, and trainers would be. He bought a ticket. Three days later, he went. He spotted legendary boxing trainer, Jimmy Olsen. He walked up and asked if he could train him. “Look kid, i came here against my will, and im not in the mood to train, either.” Olsen said. “Tell you what, here’s a deal. Train me, do three bouts with me, and if you don’t like what you’re training, i’ll get out of your life.” Logan said. “Alright, kid, you’ve got yourself a deal. First session will be at the Thomas Ripley gym, Reyes street, on Monday at 6:00 AM. Im gonna work you hard, kid.” Olsen said. “Yes sir. My number is 972-627-0956 (DO NOT DIAL THAT NUMBER IN REAL LIFE, IT IS NOT MINE, AND IT IS JUST ONE I MADE UP. DO NOT CALL RANDOM NUMBERS.).” Logan replied. “Oh, and kid, whats your last name?” Olsen asked. “Scott. My name is Logan Scott.” Logan replied. “Alright, see you sometime kid.” Olsen said. Logan went around, getting autographs from Manny Pacquiao, George Foreman, Mike Tyson, and Evander Holyfield. He put them all in frames, hanging them up in his new apartment. It was Monday. He woke up at 5:30 and got ready. He got bottles of water and some gatorade. He drove to the gym. He walked in. “Alright kid, lets see what you got.” Olsen said, sitting beside the ring with some sparring gear. Logan was 20, and Olsen was 47. They put the sparring gear on. “Im gonna go easy on you, see what you got. Alright, come at me.” Logan got into his stance and moved quickly towards Olsen, throwing some quick jabs. “Okay, a bit speedy, thats good. Throw a strong punch, right to the jaw.” Olsen said. “Will you get mad at m-” logan said before getting interrupted by a punch. “Dont hesitate, don’t get distracted, go for it.” Olsen said. Logan threw a quick hook at Olsen, which he used a big chunk of his strength for. It didn’t hurt Olsen too much. “Lets work on that strength. Im gonna test your durability.” Olsen told him. Olsen threw some hard punches, which logan withstanded pretty well. “You got a good chin.” Olsen mentioned. “Alright, testing over, lets see what you got in real sparring.” Olsen said to Logan. Logan was quick against Olsen, who couldn’t get alot of punches in. Logan kind of won the match. “Where did you learn to fight that well?” Olsen said. “Videos, movies, that kind of stuff.” Logan replied. “Lets start training ya, i see alot of potential!” Olsen said. They trained till 10:00, and then they stopped. Both went home with a good thought: this could turn out well.
