I soldered the tiny wires, and it worked! Well, sort of.<br /> <br /> It would turn on, but all it had to offer was a blank, white screen.<br /> <br /> I tried to restore it through my mac but I’m pretty sure new macs arent all that compatible with ipods, and yeah it didnt work<br /> <br /> I tried every single thing I could think of. I didn’t know what inside of the ipod to replace besides the screen, which I thought I would do later as a last resort. I decided I’d stick to trying to reset it entirely, since it may have been a software bug.<br /> <br /> Okay, imma tell u rn that it didn’t work. I tried as much as I could think of, I couldn’t think of anything else to do, and then I started doing all the same stuff all over again. But then, an error message! And the ipod wasnt showing up in finder anymore AND wouldnt turn on!<br /> <br /> So yeah<br /> <br /> Maybe it’s still fixable? Idk tho<br /> <br /> I rlly shouldnt have let it sit around in my garage to die for a couple years. It actually is in a lot better condition. It looks a lot cooler too, as it’s a classic (5th gen perhaps? i gotta check) and mine was an ipod nano 6th gen, which just looks like a big chunky apple watch without the straps.<br /> <br /> Speaking of apple watches, I haven’t charged mine up since the summer… I might need to replace its battery now too lol. Idk if it’s possible tho. Or if I even want to.
