The Night at the Mysterious Library

Once I went on a walk from my home and it was really foggy out when I was walking I got lost and wandered into the woods. When I got there I saw a Library. I opened the door and it looked like a spooky mansion. It was spooky, but I knew I had to risk it.

So, I went inside, it was abandoned. I had to sleep somewhere so I laid down and fell asleep. I woke up around 3:00 am. I looked around, but I tried to go to sleep and I couldn’t. So, I waited and waited and waited. I still couldn’t fall asleep!

Right when I started to get up the books started to look around and started dancing on the shelves. I was wondering if I was dreaming. I pinched myself and nothing happened. ”Oww” I said, "I definitely am NOT dreaming.”

I looked at the books and one jumped down. I was creeped out and I screamed. One of the books said "What's wrong, we’re only trying to help.” a book said. “Help you go back to sleep with a bedtime story.” another book said.

“Ok…” I said. 5 books came forward. The first one said “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.” The second one said “ Little Red Riding Hood and the Big, Bad Wolf.” The third one said “ The ugly little duckling.” The fourth one said “ Jack and the beanstalk.” But, the last book was a tiny book and it said “ Green eggs and Ham.” So I decided to pick “Green Eggs and Ham.” I said.

So it said “I am Sam, Sam I am. That Sam-I-am, That Sam-I-am I don’t like that Sam-I-am. Do you like Green Eggs and Ham? I do not like them, Sam-I-am I do not like green eggs and ham. Would you like them here or there? I would not like them here or there. I would not like them anywhere. I do not like them, Sam-I-am. Would you like them in a house? Would you like them with a mouse? I do not like them in a house> I do not like them with a mouse. I don’t like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-am. Would you eat them in a box? Would you eat them in a fox? Not in a box. Not with a fox. Not in a house. Not with a mouse. I would not eat them here or there. I would not eat them anywhere. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them in a house. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-Am. A train! A train! A train! A train! Could you, Would you, like them on a train? Not on a train. Not in a Car! Not in a Tree! Sam! Let me be! I would not, could not, in a box. I could not, would not, with a fox. I will not eat them with a mouse. I will not eat them in a house! I will not eat them here or there. I will not eat them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-Am. Say! In the dark? Here in the dark! Would you, Would you, Could you, in the dark? I would not, could not, in the dark. Could you, Would you, in the rain? I could not, would not, in the rain. Not in the dark. Not on a train. Not in a car. Not in a tree. I do not like them, Sam, you’ll see. Not in a House. Not in a Box. Not with a mouse. Not with a fox. I will not eat them here or there. I will not like them anywhere. You do not like green eggs and ham? I do not like them, Sam-I-Am. I like them. Sam-I-AmI I would eat them in a boat! I would eat them with a goat! I will eat them, in the rain! And in the dark! And on a train! And in a Car. And in a Tree! They are So Good, So Good, You See! So I will eat them in a box! And I will eat them with a fox! I will eat them in a House! I will eat them with a Mouse. I will eat them here and there! I will eat them ANYWHERE. Thank you, Thank you, Sam-I-Am. I do like Green Eggs and Ham.” the book said finishing the story.

So I fell asleep. Then I woke up and thanked the books and ran home. I was so happy to be home. I missed my mother, I was gone so long, but It seemed as if she was still asleep.

That afternoon, I invited my friends to the creepy woods and they agreed to come. That night we re-entered the woods. “Are you sure this is safe, Chase?” Jessica said. “Of course!” I said. Jake and Lily stayed silent though. We see the creepy library, and we enter it. “Oh um, by the way, there are dancing books.” I said.

“Umm, Chase?” Lily said. “Yes?” I replied. “Are you sure there are dancing books?” Lily said. I stayed silent for a moment. What if I was just dreaming about the books, what if they aren’t real?

Then all of a sudden a book comes and says “Welcome back, Chase.” It said, “Who are your friends?” “This is Jessica, This is Jake and this is Lily.” I replied. Lily and Jessica were speechless but Jake, he looked like he had seen a ghost.
