Saw ppl arguing abt this online especially after episode 9. I used to give him mercy because of the Jax lovers but after episode 6 I couldn't really stand him anymore.

Episode 9 gave me a different understanding about him and I'm glad to know his lore and everything but that is no excuse to be a rude, manipulative jerk.

The only reason I wanted to see him unabstracted was so he could have more character development or whatever. I thought we would see him apologizing and making it up to everyone. Obviously it would take a while to gain trust but at least we would see him actually trying.

Also is Jax actually trans? I saw a Tiktok about it but Idk if its real.

If someone doesn’t like an opinion or a person in a social network it quickly ramps into hateful tone insults, humiliation attempts, harassment and verbal abuse.

Here all of those things are forbidden and you can even get banned for insulting people

Spiteful blocking

This community is not mature enough to handle such feature responsibly it would result in spiteful blocking at the first minimum disagreement.

We could block people simply because we don’t like them.

There could even begin trends like mass blocking someone.

Meaningful Debate

Most people who require to block others tend to challenge convention in a regular basis.

This brings about friction and debate and eventually a healthy middle ground settles.

Challenging convention and customs are a negotiation in society in constant change through this very natural process.

Personally, the people I disagree with the most tend to open the most interesting windows to discuss deeper topics and express morally complex opinions.

If those who challenge convention want to change society and make history, they should develop the ability to debate and be able to defend their ideas in a moderated environment that protects them from ad hominem attacks.

Which brings me to the next point:

Traffic and site dynamics

I have read real essays here that would never be born if there was a block feature.

This interesting debates generate traffic and keep the site alive and moving

If we could block people the result would completely change site dynamics.

A quick look at club activity shows this community is not big enough to handle the potential segregation into even smaller echo chambers.

How would it work for unregs?

Should we just log out when we want to offend someone?

Educational Value

When we disagree with an opinion on kt we must express it with a minimum level of respect, address the problem (not the person) and getting our point across generally requires mastery of written language; which in a way works as a catalyst for wanting to improve communication skills and cultivate meaningful arguments.

Not being able to simply rage block or insult someone can sends us into an introspection of what is the specific reason something or someone annoys us.

It can lead us to come to terms with our own intolerance and find where our real moral limits stand.

This skill has value, getting your points across in real life where disagreements happen on a daily basis and you cannot simply block people.

What I mean by this is in some schools, like mine, they have adults who help certain students because they have a harder time understanding the lessons. If they complete certain assignments or complete all behavioral expectations, they get a prize. But what I wanna know is that if it is fair to the kids who are consistently following expectations?

(I didn't really mean to call them dumb, I don't actually mean that. sorry)

edit: guys, I'm not calling people with actual learning disabilities dumb and they don't deserve rewards, I was talking about some of the popular kids at my school

I was trying to explain the reward system since some of y'all may not know it. the specific thing I was trying to focus on was behavior.

the kids (the ones who DON'T have learning disabilities) are kids who don't try (I always see them copying off of everyone. I don't think I've seen them do actual work by themselves unless its for an overall grade), and are constantly rude to teachers and students. these kids get rewarded if they don't do this. however, I see these kids doing this, RIGHT IN FRONT OF TEACHERS, and they STILL get rewarded. THAT is my actual question. I apologize if i've offended anyone or caused confusion.

1.) wake up and eat breakfast

2.) get screamed at to do maths because apparently my brain "works best in the morning hours"

3.) get told to do schoolwork and violin

4.) then i finally get to just sit on my phone/watch/computer/tv and chill - im an ipad kid minus the ipad XD

5.) lunch probably around 1 or 2 - later than school days

6.) sometimes i hang out with this girl from my school, her name is isabella, or go shopping with my mom or something but i usually lay around the house all day texting people ToT

7.) cry and wish i could go back in time (dont ask chat)

8.) worry for 2 hours straight staring up at the cealling

9.) dinner

10.) 3 more hours of worrying :)

11.) brushing my teeth, showering (should i have censored that ??), discord modding (jk jk), getting ready for bed, and more worrying, mixed with scrolling :/

12.) finally falling asleep

DAY 2 - SUNDAY

this is the frantic day. buckle up folks.

1.) wake up and eat breakfast in a hurry

2.) get dressed and ready quickly for church (sometimes i play violin there)

3.) (sadly im usually late for pre-church violin rehearsal) start rehearsing

4.) actually play violin and pray at mass

5.) call my grandma in the car - the one on my mums side in Poland

6.) come back home and actually eat bc if i eat b4 church, its nothing or smth small

7.) menatally scream bc i have to study more and then get going for violin which starts at 3 ToT

8.)screw around studying and scrolling and sitting on my phone from 11am - 2:30pm

9.) Lorenzo's (my classmate's) mom picks me up and we drive to my violin orchestra place - its rlly far into town ToT

10.) i play violin for 3 HOURS STRAIGHT ToT

11.) finally go home at 6pm

12.) eat dinner

13.) (this is a staple at this point) worry :/

I get it, I really do. Many people already accept his apology and don't want to keep holding onto this drama, and I appreciate the effort CorvetteFan1982 put in, but it isn’t a real apology. This is him trying to save face after starting drama and getting called out for it.

In his "apology" he literally mocked the people telling him to apologize

'“But corvette, you’ve apologized a bazillion times, and none of em were genuine!1!1!1!!1!1!1!1”'

So now that people are mad, suddenly he’s sorry? That’s not growth, that’s just backpedaling.

And even in this "apology" he says

"I'm not gonna change my views in any way."

So what’s the point of apologizing if you don’t think you did anything wrong? That’s not being sorry, that’s just hoping people forget.

He also admits "I’ve made numerous fake apologies, so what gives that this one is real?"

He literally admits he’s lied before. So why trust this one?

At the end of the day, if someone wants forgiveness, they need to actually own what they did and make a real change, not just post a long speech and hope we all move on. This isn't it.

I pose that Abortion is always morally wrong, for this argument:

Premise 1: Abortion Kills the Fetus.

Premise 2: The Fetus is a human being.

Premise 3: Intentionally and deliberately killing innocent human beings is always morally wrong.

Conclusion: Abortion is Morally Wrong.

If anybody would like to argue that Abortion is morally fine, I ask you to disprove this argument.

You can do it by either explaining why the argument is illogical (i.e. provided the premises are true, they don't logically lead to the given conclusion) or by explaining why the premises are false.

If you cannot answer this argument, or I can refute your counter, I will not believe Abortion is moral. If you can answer this argument, and I cannot refute your counter I will concede that abortion is moral.

Any "arguments" that do not pertain to the status of the Fetus (as human or not human) are secondary issues, and their entire context varies based on whether the Fetus is or isn't human. Essentially, they are not worth discussing until we agree that either this argument is valid, or not.
