Hello! So i thought id do something odd and do an f1 gp reaction thingy with my reaction to each lap. Obvi the gp has finished by the time im posting this so its not really live but u might still enjoy it (looking at you corvette)

I swear quite a lot when watching a gp so some stuff will be left out

Lap one: dang it! Position lost for Oscar and none gained for lando… at least lando didnt loose any positions

Lap two: no way is alonso still holding his own against alonso lol. Also, Albon? Im disappointed in you

Lap three: not great for anyone but im feeling piastri is trying to manage his tyre degradation

Lap four: russel is definitely holding against verstappen, tyres aren’t looking too good for lots of people

Lap five: good job merc ig… well played (still rooting for a McLaren 1-2 though)

Lap six: Ferraris got 0 tyre management lollllll. Verstappen is either trying really hard with his tyre management or is in the [redacted]

Lap seven: right, verstappen is definitely struggling with his tyres

Lap eight: quite boring so far - especially for a Canadian gp, i lowkey feel kinda sorry for lance… home crowd, doing awful

Lap ten: haha Ferrari with the strategy issues… hopefully antonelli can overtake verstappen, he is being more wary today so piastri should be able to overtake him

Lap fifteen: Norris wants a one stop? Not gonna happen. Antonelli pits and now my brother is yelling at me to shut up because im screaming so loud about piastri

Lap sixteen: loll, Hamilton should not have moved to Ferrari (yes im still bitter Ollie doesn’t have the seat, deal with it)

Lap seventeen: [redacted] piastri has pitted, at least we still have a McLaren leading ig… leclerc is also ok but from what he said earlier he will need to pit son. Maybe hards were the way to go

Lap eighteen: anatonelli removing the hulk into sixth and making it into the top 5 is good work

Lap nineteen: alonso is down and as is Hamilton. Alonso deserves better but Hamilton? You’ve got your 7 championships mate, ur good.

Lap twenty: well done Hamilton… nice driving… just dont overtake Ocon

Lap twenty one: heh, albon having a little hissy fit at his garage, he’s really annoyed

Lap twenty two: Williams messing up with the car… that’s annoying, still in a hissy fit at the garage. Enjoying the guardians commentary on it as well. Also, piastri, you’ve either made a mistake or are managing those tyres really well… and im hoping it was the second

Lap twenty three: FASTEST LAP FOR PIASTRI! GET IN! Means he made a mistake last lap tho. Also, maybe lando is gonna be able to keep that on a one stop strategy

Lap twenty four: Charles Leclerc needs to be his own race engineer at this point. Also, Hamilton needing some repairs

Lap twenty five: Norris struggling on those tyres

Lap twenty six: poop, Russell has taken away piastris fastest lap

Lap twenty seven: come on Norris, keep that lead! Verstappen, respectfully, get the hell away from Leclerc.

Lap twenty nine: Leclerc is just absolute comedy at this point. I lowkey want him to be his own race engineer (he’d be better at it)

Lap thirty: Norris from the pits but im not sure whether the mediums were the best choice, they haven’t been working too well in this race

Lap thirty four: Russell beating Verstappen quite comfortably, good pace for McLaren and two mercs and the mad max in the top three

Lap thirty five: Norris in fifth is faster but I wonder how long he can keep it up, in other news, papaya rules might be needed in this race

Lap fifty: and Hadjar has exceeded track limits. He better get n trouble. Leclerc is gonna need ANOTHER pit soon and im hoping for another pit for Russell, Verstappen, and Antonelli.

Lap fifty five: hoping for piastri to be fine but the tyres may end up being rubbish (piastri is gonna have to be sneaky with his overtakes). And the fact some of the top ten haven’t pitted once when Leclerc has pitted so many times

Lap sixty seven: yh. That was right under the garage. God, that’s disappointing. At least lando is taking full responsibility

Lap sixty eight: safety car. Piastri is off the podium unless we have Russell vs Verstappen pt PLEASSEEEEEE do it again,

Lap sixty nine: chaos. And they have all pitted. Why? It’s not like they are gonna be able to race again. But maybe the pits will be the most action the last two laps get so maybe it’s for the best. And my iPad as decided to stop showing anything for some reason. Oh please god, let a car engine explode *not a McLaren or a haas*. That would put bearman in the points and piastri on the podium. At least he’s keeping his lead ig. Verstappen has overtaken under safety car so that’s gonna be an investigation

Lap seventy: not a huge problem for the championship for everyone. But Norris’ second place lead is in slight jeopardy

Hello! I’m back! Tbf, yall probs didn’t notice I was gone, given my recent absence cause life. But anyway, I’ve had end of year exams (and got 100 on my maths - get in!) and been having a mental breakdown over the current f1 world (put ur hand up if you know that the ex alpine team principal used to own an f2 team but gave control to his brother when leaving for f1 and then his brother kinda was arrested for possession of stolen property [money] and all of this came out after Ollie oaks had just resigned from alpine for unrelated reasons?) (oh, and Ollie bearman has become the new Esteban Ocon with how he’s been picking up those penalties)(and there’s *drumroll please* AN ACTUAL BATTLE FOR THE DRIVERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR!!!!! WE’VE ONLY HEARD THE DUTCH NATIONAL ANTHEM TWICE!!!!!!! THIS DESERVES INTERNATIONAL NEWS!)

anyway, now I’m back I thought I’d do something I’ve never done before, a rate my handwriting. I’ve only recently managed to improve my handwriting but I’ve been getting loads of compliments for it at school recently (slightly confused that that ngl, it’s not that good) so I thought I would do a rate my handwriting.

I’ve done basic and cursive for this and done the alphabet and a sentence for both.

F1 For muppets

So. I am slightly unaware of what to write about. So how about… F1 for Muppets! Can all of my fellow f1 fans also read along so they can try to spot all of the niche hints and references.

Yes, this is going to have to be a series (because I need to write about all of the drivers before all of the teams and all of the teams before all of the drama and all of the drama before all of the… you get what I’m saying.)

So here is a summary of what I am going to be talking about:

My plan is to start with all the teams and drivers in a few posts. (That is because I need to start revising for my end of year exams and would quite like to pass.) A solid start that will take about 6 years to write and will be incredibly fun for all of you to listen to. This is because all of the drivers have separate memes and things for you to laugh along too. I will probably then do a proper meme post about everything and all my favourite memes. There might be a few that I miss out because I’m not entirely sure that kidzsearch will allow some of them *cough* Christian Horner *cough*.

Then it will be time for the drama. That will be so fun! Again, that might be a little short. I do not wanna get hyuded *cough* Christian Horner *cough*.

Im going to finish off the series with a whole 20-episode long series of all the drivers in fact files.

This is an incredibly niche series but I’m hoping that at least two of you will enjoy it and we can probably get some more f1 fans.

So without further ado, let us begin. I’m going to cover the teams in the order of current team standings as of 21:06 on Tuesday the 22nd of April 2025.

McLaren

Fans are called: Papaya Army

Current drivers: Oscar Piastri (OP81) and Lando Norris (LN4)

Current fan base demographic: many people say that McLarens fans are either gen z or war veterans.

About: McLaren is an old team that goes back to only a few years after the championship first formed. They currently have a very active socials team and have a propensity to support drivers that have a habit for creating PR nightmares (Lando Norris having to take himself away from interviews, Bianca Busamante needing to make a public apology after writing a statement about lance stroll). McLarens fans are often very devout and are called the papaya army thanks to the large amounts of orange that they often wear. This is because Bruce (the teams founder) found that that was their unique selling point. McLaren used to have the mascot of a kiwi bird but currently have what my Ferrari supporting friend described a ‘a temu Nike sign.’ TBF, not wrong.

About Oscar Piastri (OP81): Oscar Piastri is a 24 year old driver in his 3rd season of F1. He joined in 2023 and had to retire from his first race due to a gearbox issue with his car. He has since gone on to win many races, even getting 3 race wins in 5 seasons, beating out far more experienced Max Verstappen and Lando Norris (teammate). Piastri is also the first Australian to lead a drivers championship since 2010 Mark Webber. He is known for being quite calm, some going as far as to call him ‘iceman 2’ (no one will ever replace the icon that is Räikkönen).

My personal favourite Oscar quote is ‘My car doesn’t have emotions.’

At times Oscar, I wonder whether you do either.

About Lando Norris (LN4): Lando Norris is a 25 year old driver in his 7th season of F1. He joined in 2019 but until about the mid point of the 2023 season, his car was not particularly competitive. He was in the sport for 7 seasons but only got his first win in Miami 2024. This lack of wins got him the nickname of Lando NoWins. But once he got the first win, he quite quickly became a contender for the 2024 championship. Sadly, he didn’t achieve it but, in this season, people believe that Lando could go on to win the championship, especially since he has been doing pretty well.

Norris was born in Bristol and grew up in Glasgow before going to prestigious sporting school Millfield. He also didn’t do his GCSE’s as at that point he was quite close to his F1 career. He is commonly memed for when he was less than pr trained and his PR manager had to take him away from an interview as he had been given a set up that his dirty mind couldn’t handle.

Fans are called: Silver Arrows or Bandwagoners

Current drivers: Kimi Antonelli and George Russel

About: Mercedes originally debuted in the sport in 1954 and was successful, but after the 1955 season, Mercedes left the sport. Despite part ownerships, and engine supplier deals in the 1990s and 2000s, it did not return as a factory team until November 2009. The Mercedes fan base was very much comprised of Team LH but when he left, more people started supporting for the team for the team as opposed to because they enjoy talking about 2021 and how Lewis was robbed. (I am not going to say anything on this issue, I don’t want any team lh supporters to find me)

About Kimi Antonelli: Kimi is a rookie this year and he is currently doing decently. He is kinda iconic in his innocence and a few years ago, had to be explained what flirting is. It was hilarious. Honestly, he is like the opposite of Kimi Räikönnen.

About George Russel: George Russel is 27 yers old, having been in the sport for 6 years (currently in his 7th year). He has 3 formula 1 wins in that time.

George Russel is known for his T pose and shirtless instagram posts as well as his iconic Facts meme.

We stan this. He is also known for taking off his shirt in the cooldown room a few weeks ago. And then posting a shirtless photo of Lando in revenge for Lando laughing at him.

If you search George Russel, one of the most searched things is T-Pose as well as George Russel Meme.

RedBull

Current drivers: Max Verstappen (MV1) and Yuki Tsunoda (YT22)

Current fan base demographic: Red Bull is definitely a younger and more gender neutral fan base compared to many other teams.

About: Red Bull is a wildly unstable team. The current situation is so bad that a Dutch news site wrote an article and created ‘the red bull power struggle ‘ (I don’t speak Dutch, this is google translated.):

But I disagree with it, as it is out of date (being from the beginning of 2024) and, being a news site, has to be quite diplomatic.

So here are my suggested changes.

First, we are going to remove Adrian Newey (he left) and change the colour of the father son dynamic (Max and Jos Verstappen) to red. I’ll explain why in my about max section. After that, we are going to put any woman in the world in the place that Adrian Newey was in and change that line to bright red between Horner and any woman because he cant seem to have a working relationship with a woman without wanting to mess up his married life. Then we are going to make all the lines on this thing flipping red because the red bull team is such a mess. Red bull is a team that you cant win if you join. If your recruited by Christian Horner, then Helmut Mario is going to hate you. Helmut is also going to hate you if you arent white because he is racist. (Not just conspiracy, he has said that he has doubts about whether Checo Perez [former red bull driver] had a correct visa or something). If Helmut recruits you, then you are going to be hated by Christian Horner.

So that is all I can say on here without going further into the Horner situation.

About Max Verstappen (MV1): Max is the current world champion and is probably the driver who has dealt best with the messed up excuse for a team red bull is. This is probably because, growing up, max’s father pushed him to the limits. In lots of PR videos, Max will just drop the craziest things about his life. We have found out that Jos made his son go karting in the snow and left him there. We have found out as well that his father would beat him.

Max is also the real head of the Red Bull team. The car is made custom to his driving style and the second driver isn’t meant to overtake him unless they have orders. The car wont be changed, even if the second driver for the last four year has said that the car is awful. And the car will only be changed when Verstappen struggles with it

About Yuki Tsunoda (YT22): Yuki is the current red bull second driver. And I say current as we all know that he could be moved back down at any point. Liam Lawson (previous 2nd driver) was moved down after just 2 races because he wasn’t performing. The red bull team is messed up and someone needs to fix it.

For everyone else.

I’m currently working on a series about formula one (very niche, ik) called formula one for Muppets. Would everyone prefer for me to put out (quicker and shorter) single team/driver groups at a time or wait a few days for the full thing to come out. Bear in mind that i am going back to school shortly so the full thing will probably take some time but i can pump out a single team guide in about 20 minutes. Just depends on when i can work on it. Hoping for some answers by tomorrow morning as i have to go to bed now (my brother has a late bedtime, I get early ish. 2 year age difference, same bed time) and there is a time difference. Also, if no one wants the series… too bad, ur getting it anyway.

This season’s teams on f1 so far

before i begin, here is a warning, if you dont understand f1, have google at the ready : /. Imma try to explain things best as i can but… i might miss something.

Ok… here’s the deal. I love McLaren and out of those two drivers i believe that Oscar has the most talent and is just peak. EVERYONE else in my family supports Lando cause he was local and went to the local sporting school BUT i dont think he is as great as everyone says he is.

Don’t get me wrong. I am so happy that he is currently a great driver but i think he sometimes gets a little nervous under pressure and i think he has too many driver penalties! Like Lando, please stop leaving the box too early on the starting grid! And maybe try not to crash next race (no hate to Lando, he doesn’t deserve his words from 2023 to be shoved back at him (it was something along the lines of if you have a good car it is easier to win… WHICH IT IS! A better car will have better exeleration ). Im just saying that for my sanity so my brother isn’t too depressed! Like… NOT MY FAULT SaMuEL) But all that aside, I think Lando is great and his friendship with George is just… mwah! Like them photos that George posted… WORTH IT!

So, i also support Haas. That is because of one man, two emojis ??‍♂️. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, I support Ollie Bearman. I just personally think that anyone who can drive a Haas of all cars (haas is a midfield team which have got better over previous years but still are less than ideal, they are also the smallest f1 team [I think… dont quote me though] and just in general, not the worlds best or the worlds worst) up 10 positions through a Mercedes and a currently quite good Williams [albon is considered a decent driver with over 5 or 6 years in the sport] that was a proper fight, is a good driver. (Helps that he is objectively rather cute and British!). It’s a shame that he didnt manage to score points in Saudi this week but what’s done is done, im hoping for a good weekend in Miami (cause it’s a sprint!) which I sadly wont be able to watch… time zone difference x teenager + kinda strict mother = not able to watch an f1 race or sprint.

As for Mercedes… i think my brother feels kinda obliged to support them as my grandmother has a Mercedes but i think they are a good team. George Russel seems nice and kimi is actually adorable in his mannerisms. The fact he’s still doing schooling as well is so amazing, especially since people are saying he will be the next max Verstapen (hoping for just in skill, not in temperament). But yh, hoping for Mercedes to do well in f1 this year.

Time for a not so smooth Segway into RedBull. where do we begin. They have defo had a fall in grace from a few years ago and I think it’s all to do with the car. But they must be kicking themselves for the rough start to the season that the turbulence in the second seat and RB/V car RB dynamics. I think that if Lawson was moved up in 3 years than he could be amazing but he needs more driver development and the spotlight put on him after all that happened is going to be detrimental to his well being and his career in the future.

Max is also probably kicking himself for the results he has been getting, which will be being made worse by the harsh penalties given to him by both the FIA and the public media for speaking out about race finishes. I’m hoping that he doesn’t do too well in the upcoming races for the sake of Lando Lawnmower (if ykyk) but also hoping his car gets better. Also incredibly happy for Yuki that his season hasn’t been too bad and that he has finally managed to move up to the main team

Now time for our icons Isaac and Liam. There’s not much to say about them other than they are doing well and improving themselves in every race. Not sure what I can say.

For that not so ‘SMOOTH OPERATOR’ transition into Williams. I am glad that Albon is having a good season but the way his face fell when he found out that Max had come second and that he was going to have to private jet home with a Grumpy Boi Verstapen was probably the highlight of my season so far. Sainz has also been having a decent season with last race being the first time both Williams’ were in the points. Good job. I still can’t get over the way James is so robotic tho… he needs to work on his naturall presenting skills.

Crying rn cause our favourite 40 year old rookie still hasn’t gotten any points this season (Haas have double the points of Aston and STRULOVITCH HAS GOTTEN ALL OF THE POINTS! HOW!) but we are gonna blame that on the car flipping malfunctioning for so many races. Like bro. Is it that hard to make a working car.

Honestly, Strullovitch has been doing decently, a good amount of points in an average car. For once I can’t really say too much other than, YOU ARE LUCKY THAT YOUR fAthER KEPT THAT SEAT FOR YOU!

Lewis has got the full Ferrari experience with them already and it’s been 5 races. Can’t get over that p1 sprint followed by double Ferrari disqualification for the main race. But Ferrari haven’t messed it up too badly and I am super happy for Leclerc to have gotten a podium (without any IncHIdEnTs) on Sunday.

Kick Sauber are failing. I feel bad for Bortoleto and Hulkenberg. The kick Sauber team principle needs to GET HIS ACT TOGETHER and it’ll be just fine (spice girls).

Next year with Cadillac joining, some differences will be made and I’m excited for that. I’m wondering if more people will get points (like top 11) or getting fastest lap or something will earn points again. Corvette, please give ur opinion on this! Also, do we think any tracks will need to be retired because of the new grid meaning a new grid length?
