Not much.

I've been changing my invite list to my birthday party so much lately, because two of my friends have been coming and going. (However, I made a truce with one of them, and she's actually a fun person to be around.)

One of my friends, however (let's call them Carter) ALWAYS get mad at me. Nothing is ever good enough for them. "You can't wear this, you can't do that. I don't like them, they always do that." It's so annoying. Also, I'm scared of Carter's dad.

Like today, Carter came up to me, and they were like, "(friend) is so annoying. She's self absorbed and stuck up, and I don't want her hanging out with us." The friend, by the way, is the friend who I made a truce with. Also, I asked some others in the friend group, and they said they don't care, and she's cool to be around.

But Carter INSISTS to get their way, everyday, every time. No matter how much I argue. They've been distancing themself from (friend) for a while, and is mad at me for wanting to friends with her.

My mom knows Carter, and says they say something, and then forget it the next day. That's true some of the time.

So, what should I do?
