Any tips on training and ESA?(or a cat in general)

So far ima work on training my kitten to

-sit

-come

-stay

-lay

-and I’ll harness train him when he’s older

Rn I’m working on sit and come, but Hes still a we lil kitten so he hasn’t caught on yet, but he’s working on it!

What I need to know is if anyone has any tips when it comes to training an emotional support animal.

My plan originally was for him to just be for my needs, but my lil brother also has severe anxiety, so now I’m thinking that I’ll see if I can train him to also be able to comfort my lil brother—part time.(my little brother gets very handsy when he gets scared, and often try’s to control and not listen to what animals are trying to tell him, so that’s why Rocky would only be a part time for him, since my lil bro would probably be better suited for an ESSA, not and ESA)

Also, I figured that once I get him all trained up—and talk to my therapist to see if I qualify for an ESA—I would present the idea to my parents that Rocky could be my ESA.

Now the only problem would that Rocky is supposed to be an outside cat, and he can still be! But idk how I’ll convince my parents that he can be and ESA and still live mostly outside. But that’s for another days drama.

So any tips on training cats?

So I’ve always been well aware of the pros of having an ESA, and have speculated on training on of the pets I have, but my dog is to wild and has his own emotional turmoils, and my cat has to many specifications when it comes to petting or holder her(and she hates her harness) so those pets are out of the equation.

So the next reasonable question would to see if any of the chickens would make a good ESA. But non of them emotionally connecte with me like fancy pants(RIP) did, so I have up on that possibility.

Fast forward a year or so, and we get kittens.

So the grey kitten we have is the most playful of the two, is very fast and loves exploring, so I was entirely surprised to see what happened when i had a panic attack in front of him.

Like he,

Stayed with me

Instead of going and running around the house(which is one of his favorite things)

This is a very important discovery. Obviously I will have to see if he continues this behaviour, but this is monumental.

And the most shocking thing is that he has been staying near me more often, and even sat on my knee patiently waiting for food, instead of trying to steal it out of the wet food tin.

Agian, this is very promising.

This means that not only does he have a deeper emotional bond with me after I had a panic attack in front of him, but he is also(most likely) trainable.

And yes, hes still a kitten and very wiggly. But the most promising of the pets I have.

So, that being said.

Any tips on a training wiggly worm of a kitten?

I have 6 birds and a dog

i used to have more birds but we had to rehome them

Their names are Daisy, Felix, Sky, Merlin, Indie and Pickle

we used to think Daisy was a boy and we called her Kevin but now she's the mother to a total of 1 bird

Sky and Merlin are Budgies but the rest of our birds are cockatiels

I think indie has some type of albinism but she's not fully white

she's more light creamy and yellow but she has red eyes

My dog is called Maggie and she's very cute

It’s going to be a fully outdoor cat bc my brothers can’t take anymore cat allergies.

Stormys (my cat) is going to be so jealous lol. Sense she isn’t allowed to go outside anymore because the last time we put flea and tick on her she had a really bad chemical rash.

I’m getting the kitten in about 4 weeks (cuz they are too smoll rn)

And my little brother will be the designated care taker (but I’ll still check on it every night to make sure he isn’t slacking), so that’s good.

Cuz I’m already taking care of a cat and 9 chickens full time.

I don’t think the other headmates could handle another being to take care of if they get depressed agian.

Dear Mother and Father,

Recently we lost our dear pet marshmallow.We all loved him.

Now we have space for a new small pet. A bearded dragon is a great addition to our family.

Bearded dragons are great for kids and teens, and teach responsibility. It would help me and Thomas learn to feed and care for gently like we did for marshmallow. And because they are “starter lizards” it would be easier and they are low maintenance.they have many ways to have fun and play! Bearded dragons can swim and have a lot of fun outside! We could also take it for a walk and sunbathe outside during summer. Beardys can be a really fun and fulfilling pet in many ways. Bearded dragons have many foods they can’t eat and caution would have to be taken. I understand that you would not want to deal with the bugs, but if we got an adult we would need less. I will handle the bugs because they have to be live. The tank we will need is 40 gallons and decorations and stuff to climb on.

So I went to Home Depot just to see what looks cool and what I NEED. Anyway, we begin to end our journey of the depot when I... SEE... CATUSSES! I ran to my dad saying "I need one" (like a kid in a pet store) and to my surprise he let me pick one. So, I chose one and then my sister grabbed one, AND THEN MY DAD DID TOO. I named all of them because I'm good at that stuff. Mine is named Floofy, my dad's is named Prickles, and my sister's is named Green Bean. So YAA!!! That's why Home Depot is the best.

Take a look at Pumpkin (NOT THE KIDZTALK USER) A lil Frenchie I got a few days ago. Every dog should have this french style. Also Pumpkin is weird, he does this weird thing where he'll just stand in the grass for like a long time then he'll start chasing me. This photo is him just doing his weird thing before he chases me.

Why do we have pets?

Dogs have been kept as pets since the garden of eden. Of course wolves came before all dog breeds(most likely). Many people keep dogs as pets to this day(omg really! I had no idea). Many people prefer dogs over cats, since they don't rub all over you all the time. They lick your face to show affection(answer or comment whether you let your dog lick on your mouth). They are relatively inexpensive and, though still require work,are really loveable.

Cats have been kept as pets since the same time as dogs. They probably started as lions and gave birth to other species. Ancient Egypt kept cats as pets and even worshipped them. They are still very common pets. They show love by rubbing and cuddling all over a person. They also, like dogs, can lick your hand to love on you.

No one really knows how fish became pets.

Many believe pirates kept parrots. They didn't talk on their own like in the books or movies.

Here are the problems

1. Dad is afraid of them

2. Mom is afraid it'll get out

3. Mom is worried I wouldn't take care of it (even tho my research says they're easy to care 4)

4. Mom thinks a pet you can interact with more would be better

Okay, so:

1. We got 6 chickens for my brothers birthday (but the entire family owns it), then, we raised them, they were soooooooo cute. But... one day, we woke up, and I don't fully remember this, but they were killed by a racoon or something (we found a paw print). The guts were all over the ground and stuff

2. Okay, I had a fish named Jasper, he was a beta fish, well, he got fin rot, but he wouldn't heal from it. He somehow lived 3 years even though he had fin rot for a year.

3. Okay, right now, we got six more chickens, they are cinnamon queens and leghorns. The cinnamon queens are named: Cinnamon , Brownie, and Cookie. The leghorns are named Whipped Cream (I love whipped cream) , The White One (because it's is a a villi name, and the white one bullies everyone), and also snow white, who got sick, nearly died, then got sick again and died.

4. Then we got 6 more chickens (the other ones are still alive) and we have an eagle problem, so 2 got eaten, one got hurt, recovered, then got eaten. now only three of those are left.
