Decided to start this up again, not sure if I'll continue but its fun for now. Also, I drew and am writing this sleep deprived at a 1am after taking 4 tests (yes, you heard that right 4 tests) in one day, so no judging is allowed. I don't care if you think the story is basic or the art has gaping white gaps and is generally ugly, because its not AI and in the end that's all that matters.

Athena was naturally quiet and attentive. She listened more than she spoke, remembered details, and made people feel calm simply by being there. That made her an ideal host for the Watcher.

The Watcher did not possess her. It attached itself to her slowly, like a leech, watching through her eyes while subtly making her traits more prominent. Her silence grew heavier, drowsier, her presence more comforting. Conversations stopped feeling finished. People lingered around her without realizing why, and leaving began to feel unnecessary first, rather than impossible.

As the Watcher fed, Athena changed. She blinked less, moved with careful precision, and her eyes began to reflect light strangely. Time lost urgency for her. She stopped noticing when people should go or when she herself should leave.

Cats were the first to notice the Watcher. Drawn to It and wary of It, they gathered around Athena as silent guards and witnesses. Over time, more followed her, becoming territorial. To outsiders, she became known as a strange, quiet, crazy cat lady.

Athena never intended to trap anyone. She doesn’t actively hunt or restrain. The Watcher does the rest, feeding through her presence, her gaze, and the quiet safety she provides, like a blanket muffling your senses. She remains mostly herself, still capable of guilt and confusion, but no longer fully human.

She is no longer just a person. She is a place where attention lingers—and sometimes, never leaves.

After hours of work and a lot of banging my head against the walls, I present to you, SYLVER as a horror character. ENJOY (I AM BEGGING YOU)

Story:

Sylver stood at the edge of the village as the sun dipped below the trees. Her heart pounded with a mix of anger and desperation. The medicine man’s words followed her, haunted her.

“She’s a witch!” The medicine man had declared, a sneer twisting his lips as he pointed at Isabelle, Sylver’s sister, the only one she had left. “Her kind brings darkness. She must be burned!”

Now, Sylver clenched her fists, steam rising from her breath in the autumn chill. She knew she had to confront the medicine man, not to get revenge just yet, but to use his own power against him. She made up her mind, desperation outweighing the danger

The medicine man’s hut loomed ahead, a silhouette against the dying light. Sylver knocked on the door, heart racing. The door creaked open, revealing the plump, snobby dwarf.

“What do you want?” The medicine man smarmed in his nasally voice.

Sylver cower, trying to look harmless. “I need a book. One about evil magic.”

“Why would you seek such knowledge?” He narrowed his eyes, suspicion radiating from him.

“To protect us,” Sylver said, feigning sincerity. “Isabelle—she's gone. I didn’t realize what she was… to know someone so close to me was evil, it really opened my eyes. I need to understand the threats like her, to keep our village safe.” It was painful, letting the Medicine Man think he had won. But it would all be worthwhile…

A flicker of interest crossed the medicine man’s face. “Protecting is noble. But knowledge comes with a price.”

“Name it,” Sylver replied, resolve hardening in her chest.

“Bring me herbs from the forest, those that only bloom under the moonlight. Then, perhaps, I will consider your request.”ight of th

“Fine,” Sylver spat. “I’ll return.”

Hours later, Sylver stood in the moon-drenched forest, gathering the delicate herbs, their silver petals glistening like stars. She felt the heavy book in her hands as she returned to the hut, heart racing with anticipation and dread.

The medicine man accepted the herbs with a smirk, handing over the dusty tome. “May it serve you well.”

Night enveloped Sylver as she pored over the pages, words swirling through his head in an uncontrollable tornado. Her body trembled with each incantation, a thrill coursing through her. She was growing closer each moment.

Days passed, and the villagers whispered of changes in Sylver. She no longer walked like the person they knew. The shadows seemed to follow her, whispering.

One moonlit night, Sylver finally embraced the darkness. She recited the final incantation, feeling herself shift, bones cracking and reforming.

“Isabelle!” she howled, voice changing into a growl.

She sprinted into the woods, her limbs enlongating, nails sharpening, face changing and growing.

As she ran, a single thought consumed her: avenging Isabelle

But with every shift between animals, that thought in the back of her mind dimmed, the line between Sylver and the beast blurring.

And in her heart, the faint echo of Isabelle’s laughter faded further into the void.

I just came up with this! I think I will do more, but only if a lot of people answer/upvote this post because it takes a LOT of work. I spent 2 hours on this drawing alone, plus 30 ish minutes on the story. (Also I quit sketchbook forever and switched to ibis paint cuz im broke, but im still getting the hang of it)

Anyways, the first user is MEL!!

*tw, a little violence/gore*

Backstory:

One day, mel was out shopping with her baddie, phoenix, when suddenly, someone bumped into her and all of her bags went flying!

"Dear me! I am very sorry. Allow me." He said formally, bending to help phoenix pick up mel's stuff. Mel would have helped, but she was in shock. The stranger... he was so handsome! Once mel had her things back, the stranger smiled crookedly at her. He introduced himself as sam, and mel only stuttered a little when introducing herself as mel.

"I am delighted to meet you, although very sorry it was because of my clumsy mistake." he said.

"N-no, its fine. It was my fault." Mel said

"Would you like to exchange numbers, in case I broke anything?" Sam asked.

"Yes. Sure, of course." Mel said. So they exchanged numbers. For the rest of the shopping trip, she had a dreamy look in her eyes. And for the next few weeks, Mel felt butterflies every time she saw sam and texted him every day. Three weeks later, mel was texting sam when suddenly he sent something shocking. "I have a secret, but you have to promise not to tell anyone else." Mel agreed, feeling excited, and sam confessed. "I hate brainrot kids. One of them drop kicked my grandma for a shopping spree." Mel didn't text back for a while. "Would you like to go on a date with me?"

Mel did, but she was a brainrot kid! He wouldn't like her! I can pretend like I'm not though, and then he will like me! So she agreed.

Sam and mel sat in a restaurant on their date. Everything was going well, when suddenly mel slipped up. "Your fit is so skibidi- uh, I mean, you look good-" But it was too late. Sam's face contorted in rage, and he yelled, "HOW DARE YOU LIE TO ME! YOU ARE A BRAINROT KID!" And then, he looked at her, and realized something. "You look familiar... YOU WERE THE ONE WHO DROPKICKED MY GRANDMA FOR A SHOPPING SPREE!" He jumped up and dropkicked mel across the restaurant, where she cracked her head and all her rotted brains spilled out. "THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR DROPKICKING MY GRANDMA!" And he stormed out.

Phoenix had been not creepily stalking observing their date and rushed in. She saw mel on the floor and cleaned out her head of the brainrot, but now she had no brains left. SO she brought mel out of the restaurant and said, "If you want to survive, you need to get brains..." Mel understood. And she knew exactly who her first victim would be...

I love you all on KT so much really idk what I would do without u

But recently, even though it is always a safe space that normally makes me happy, it has been becoming... different

There are new trends, new users, and I am stuck in the past. Maybe I suck at transitions, maybe i'm resistant to change. But I miss the old KT, and more specifically, my old friends. I know, some of them are still here. Nobi, pumpkin, and liver of dog, specifically, although idk if they consider me a friend. I mean friend by, they were here when I joined, or joined within a year of me joining.

And that isn't it

I am becoming irrelevant. I see all these new rps, new series, and despite the fact that I have been here, active nearly the whole time, for years, I'm not there. I know, selfish, but sue me that I think it feels nice to be recognized or mentioned. Everyone is shouting out other users as I blend into the background. For example, Corvette! (chosen at random because you are one of many loved users by everyone, INCLUDING ME) He had SO MANY PPL answering his bday post, so many people making posts saying happy birthday, and even when its not his birthday so many people shout him out. And they aren't wrong for doing it. Corvette is such an amazing user, and its not a crime to say happy birthday to someone.

And I am slipping off the leaderboard because these new users are upvote spamming and somehow getting hundreds of thousands of points in the span of a few weeks. Do points really decide how liked you are?

Also, there is a post with a bunch of memes I don't understand, and I answered saying that. Angel then commented erm so unskibidi, obviously a joke, and I randomly got mad and dropped a vent in the middle of the thread, to which they replied "." Fair, and btw angel I'm sorry

To sum up what I'm saying, a lot of factors are turning KT into an additional popularity contest I can't win

I have been here 3 YEARS!! Ok technically my 3 year anniversary was 2 months ago, from when I was unreg, but OFFICIALLY IT IS TODAY! YIPPEE!

English: Is defenestrate reflexive? Like could you say "I am going to defenestrate" and that would mean "I am going to throw myself out a window" or do you have to say "I am going to defenestrate myself."and if it was the second option, does "I am going to defenestrate" mean "I am going to throw out a window" or "I am going to throw someone else out a window"?

French: Is "défenestrer" reflexive in your language? pretty much the same questions as the english version but just when you are speaking in french.
