Otherhearted, by definition, is: a person who has a strong fundamental connection to a species or character which impacts their core sense of self. In this case, I’ve always felt connected to cats, and I used to think like I could be “one of them”. Although, I know I am not a cat, I am very much a human, made in God’s image. So, what is this? I’m not sure how to identify. I know that otherhearted just means connecting with a certain animal, but is it always spiritually wanting to be one, like therians? I’m not sure what I think of “having a spiritual connection” with something other than a human. I believe that when we die, we go to Heaven or the bad place (I’m not sure if I can say it here). I fully identify AS a human (and a child of God). Note: it is highly likely that I am wrong, and I just really like cats because I’ve always been around them. I’m never good with “identity” stuff. Sometimes I completely forget about this issue but I’ll see something, like a cat or lion in a piece of media that brings the feeling back. I’m also a furry and all of my fursonas are cats because I don’t feel like I really identify with other animals like dogs. If most people disagree with me, I am definitely willing to try to stop this “otherhearted” thing for God. I’d pray about it more, ask God, but I find myself not getting many direct answers for anything that I pray for<br /> <br /> I’ll probably think nothing of this later, but I just feel like I need answers.
