What is a digital footprint?

A digital footprint is something that keeps all of your data throughout all devices, whether your device be a Chromebook or any type of computer, phone, iPad, or anything that can store data on it (no, probably not a TV or a Nintendo switch, depending on your access on it). A digital footprint keeps track of every site you've visited, all the videos you've watched, and every comment and reply you've said. Even posts, replies, and comments you've deleted will be kept there. Everything you delete is never actually fully deleted, as you should know.

A digital footprint is what is used in background checks, and used in job interviews. For example, you're going to a job interview. your employer looks through your digital footprint to see if you can be a potential harm to anyone at the building, or if you're not a good fit. Here's another example: Meris and Marline *Yes I'm using my ocs idc* are both going for the same job. Here are Meris's posts. Summed up, Meris is making bad jokes and is being really disrespectful to lots of users on many different platforms. Now Marline's. Summed up, Marline is being kind and helpful through the majority of her posts. Which one would most likely get the job? Marline, because she's not much of a threat to people at the building and tried to keep all posts, comments, and replies respectful. Sure, she probably has been a bit rude to some people online, but that was only a couple times and not repeadily.

Guys, the majority of us are in middle school to high school. Ya'll should know and understand what a digital footprint is.

ALL of you guys (me included) need to be more respectful and nice to EVERYONE on this platform, even if they're a different race, sexuality, gender, religion, belifes, or a different voter than you. you will always (either online or real life) have people that think differently than you, and you have to accept this. if you start harassing them, lots of people could turn on you for what you've done.

Also, it's very good to take a break from electronics and either go outside or do something else (via read, craft, spend time with family, ect) every day or take a long break from sites. Researchers say you should be outside 20-30 minutes MINIMUM three days a week. take a bike ride, take a walk, meet up with a friend, run around the block, anything to get you outside for a while. Taking breaks from electronics and social media is also good for your mental health. Social media can be full of hate (COUGH COUGH KT COUGH COUGH) which can lead to thinking poorly of yourself, depression, ect.

Please for the love of the gods, don't say "tldr" or something just because you don't care to read the whole thing. There's a thing called scrolling and not clicking on this post, and staying silent to something. this section is for the point grinders. Also sorry Kt mods for making a huge post, It had to be said.

Ah, anyone remember this little series I had going on back in May? I know WN and MCN Junior were there. So were Kay and Autumn, but they're not very active anymore I don't think.

Anyway, I know I made a lot of people very happy with those posts, but I quit because I was getting very busy making posts of my own under my own user, and also school exams were starting and I had no free time. I am an unregistered user, but I have a name. Except on these posts I keep myself anonymous. Not really sure why, but I am just scared that people will somehow mock me for it. Ah, anxiety :,)

I think I will bring this series back, however, but I will do it under an actual name. I am literally so nervous to tell you all this for no reason at all. I'm scared of people accusing me of not actually being this anonymous user and people saying I am just pretending to be them for extra clout. I dont know how to word this, so I will just say it along with my new intro:

Hey everyone! I'm EmoDinosaur72, also known as Dino, Wil, Wilbur, and to many of you, anonymous. I am a bigender male and nonbinary person who uses he/they/xe pronouns, which is surely prone to change, and I am the one who made those posts back in May. I have anxiety, depression, mild undiagnosed autism, and suffer from SH and panic attacks. I will surely continue those posts, but I will be doing so under my user instead of anonymously.
