Herobrine's Blade: Ch8 B1

Chapter 8: The Portal

The trip to the escorts was quiet. The crew hadn't talked since the confrontation with the rogue group members. Adonis thought that they were kind of the rogue group members now.

Preston was the most depressed Adonis had ever seen him. He was hit the hardest—he was making friends of his own and he probably felt as if they he found and equal. Now those same friends were the enemy.

"We mustn't lose attention," Evan said confidently. "This all must be happening for a reason. We usually never get caught, especially two times in a row."

"Or maybe it's bad luck," said Maxine from a far distance in the back. "How could you hear me?" Evan asked. Adonis saw her shrug and then grin. How she was so happy during these times, he didn't know. But he sure wanted whatever joy potion she had. As they were struggling along, they saw the barrier of the Badlands. They had never gotten this close to it before, they were always stopped and accused of trying to leave.

Adonis looked around. Sage did the same apparently, because she shouted, "Coast is clear!"

"I was supposed to be looking out, you two!" Evan whined. "That's what I'm here for! I'm the eyes!"

Another person descended rapidly out of the sky, landing (somewhat) gracefully on their feet. The scene gave the whole crew a start, Sage letting out a rough yell and fireball. The person dodged, and Adonis admired their great agility. They patted their shoulder, extinguishing the flame off.

"Who are you?!" Preston shouted, something that he never does. He usually leaves the commentary to the other members. Wayne had his fists up and clenched.

"The escort who is going to be taking you to Diamon," said the stranger shortly. "My partner will be here any second now." She tapped her feet against the ground impatiently. "Very smooth," said Adonis under his breath. "Thank you," replied the stranger, managing to hear him somehow. Seriously, what was up with all the super-hearing today?

Adonis blushed a bit. Soon after, another figure was freefalling out of the atmosquare, only not as gracefully. He landed with a crash as his partner commented, "He's not as smooth."

They all giggled, and the person got up and wiped himself off. "Hiya, kids!" He said enthusiastically. "I'm Shawn, son of the sheep goddess Shega! This is my sister," he said, pointing to the other girl. "We're Skyborn!"

"They did not need that information," said the sister coldly. Shawn brushed it off. "Her name's Shera, by the way." Adonis was silent the entire time. "Hmph," he heard Maxine scoff from the back.

"So anyways, we need you to come with us," declared Shera. "Years ago we used boats to get to and fro here from Diamon. We don't live in the Midblock Ages anymore, though, and we use a quicker approach. It is more dangerous, and that's part of the reason why we're guiding you there." She now pointed up the barrier, which was made up of abstract structured blocks. To get over the barrier you would have to do a huge amount if parkour.

"We conveniently placed the nether portal up there a few years ago. Well, convenient for us... Non-delinquents," she added quietly. Sage looked as if we was going to comment, but Adonis beat her to it. "Did you say nether portal? No one crosses there! Ever!" He said flabbergasted.

"Well yes, especially now with the... Current event of things," Shawn claimed. "What do you mean?" Evan asked. "Why, you haven't heard? Herobrine's Blade has been stolen from his possession. He's gone completely berserk, making the Nether more dangerous than it's ever been before."

Adonis was utterly shocked. How could someone as great as Herobrine could lose something so powerful and precious. "Him and our savior, Notch, have been fighting ever since he lost it," continued Shera. "He claims that Notch has something to do with it. They've never gotten along. The automatic sibling rivalry they have.." She trailed off. Shawn took over once more. "We only have permission to go through the portal to collect you 8 and come back. That's how long Notch's protection lasts through the dimension. If we go through it once more, Notch's shield won't work on us and we will be vulnerable. We also can only be in the dimension for a certain amount if time before the shield breaks."

"Speaking of that," Sage now interjected, "Shouldn't we get going? We don't want to miss the time we have to be there." Shawn and Shera nodded, "We have to parkour up there," they said in unison. Adonis stretched his arms to the sides and frontwards, about to brag his skills up again. "No problem for me! I've been training all my friends to do this, so it shouldn't be a problem for them, though I'm not sure," he grinned. Sage smacked him on the back of the head. "Ow!"

Shera finally smirked. "Well then, let's begin!"

Military Kid Ch8 (B1)

8

It had been a very rainy day. The clouds were as black as a flock of crows, and the rain was so heavy that it would be painful to stay outside for too long.

There, nonetheless, were people walking to and fro in and out places they've probably never been before. Or maybe they had been there before. They were strangers.

But among those strangers were people who were brothers. Sisters. Cousins. Mothers. Fathers. Sons. Daughters. They all had a life of their own, whether it be pleasant or not. They still had a life. They still had a family, whether it be stable or not. They still had a family.

And Victor had realized that. But perhaps he realized it too late.

VICTOR'S POV:

"Listen, old man, you need to tell me where you wanna stay, I don't care! But you better not sell me out to the cops, get that?" I threatened, balling my fist up and brandishing it in his face.

The old man nodded. "It would be foolish of me to do that!"

"It would!" I picked him up and dragged him along the snow-blanketed sidewalks with millions of footprints along it. The old man, overly tired and freezing like an ice box, shivered as we went along. "Where are we going?" I asked irritably. "I think you better leave me from here, I got experience with this route. Thank you, young man.

"Also, remember what I told you! Make things right with your family, like you said you would!" He lectured. I didn't answer, and instead, headed for home.

As I did, tears started to roll down my face when I thought about all the horrible things I said to my mother, how the last time I saw my little brother was when we fought, and how much I disappointed my father by making such a jerk of myself. I stopped running, bent over to catch my breath. It's hard to run fast while you're crying.

I can't believe I trusted someone like Jugg. I'm so stupid! I thought, pounding myself in the face. I needed to get over it. All I needed to focus on was my family. The apartment complex was right around the corner, but a further corner, too far. I didn't really want to run that far since I was dead tired. But I had to. For my family.

The cold stabbed my lungs as I continuously breathed it in. It was two blocks away. I'll make it.

But then I tripped. I tripped and fell hard on my face, over some dumb bump in the sidewalk.

I swore a little, punching my fist to the ground, frustrated and growingly despondent.

I want to give up. I don't think I'll make it. But if I don't make it, then I can't make things right. If I give up, I'm giving up on them.

I got up.

I cut through the wind with the most aggressive force I could pull. I ripped open the door, heart beating like a rock band drum. I dashed upstairs to the 17th floor, and finally, I saw the apartment room door.

I prepared myself. But I couldn't prepare myself. I get what I get. If they hate me still, they have every right to do so. And no amount of preparation can brace me for that potential fact.

My hand was on the knob, and I slowly turned it and pushed. My heart was running a mile and skipping beats.

But there was no one on the other side.

"Hello?" I called out, taking a step in. It was so eerily quiet that KY ears started to ring, and I increasingly started losing my sense of security. The more I thought the more I started to worry. Could they have been kidnapped? The door was unlocked so—

"Oh my god!" I whisper-shouted. There was blood on the table, which was broken. There was a bullet mark on the other wall, which also had a bloodstain. I was shaking and started to feel my stomach turn inside out. "No," I whispered quietly to myself, "no, no, no, please... Please no!"

There wasn't any other explanation. They're all gone.

End of 8

WOAH WHAT JUST HAPPENED?

Okay, so, I had to refer to the old guy as "old man" cuz I forgot his name so forgive me please XD

I'm working on giving more detail in my stories so sorry if they're a little bland, but I tried to make up for it by giving this chapter a bit more character.

Hope you all enjoyed this chapter, Esie, I'm excited to see what you think >:) and yes this is a sad chapter but that's what you asked for so

I kinda feel bad for Victor now but it's his fault XD

Let me know what ya guys think! Love you all!

Shark Bait ch8 (wow these are going by fast)

"Where did it go?" I asked, but Natali was too frozen in fear to respond. "I...I don't know, but we need to get to shore--fast!" she screamed, bolting towards the shore. "Hey!? You're just gunna leave me here?! What about what happened last time you did that?" I asked, hurt.

"Right...sorry..." Natali called, stopping so that I could catchup to her. "Ya know, about that..I'm really sorry about what I did that day..I was just so--" "Fearstruck?" I asked. "Yeah..I guess you could say that! We're cool though, right?" Natali asked, patiently waiting for my response.

I smiled. "Yes! Now let's getto shore maybe before like we get eaten!" Her eyes dialated. "Oh. my. gosh." My eyebrows raised. "What? What's wrong?!" "We gotta get there--soon! Wherever that thing went; it can't be far behind..." I nodded, as we raced to shore as quick as the speed of sound.

The sun set gorgeously on the crystal blue shores in Malibu. Every time I went twilight surfing I always used to think about how peaceful it looks up there. But that wasn't important right now.

I had to focus at getting back to shore before that thing caught up to us. I had to stay alive before the Annual Malibu, California Surfing Competition, or who was I as a surfer? "So," Natali began, seeing the worried look on my face as we ran up the beach and collapsed. "How are you feeling about the comp. this year?" I shrugged.

"I don't really know. You gotta get a pretty big wave in order to get a shot at winning," I noted, reflecting back on last year's fail. Natali shook her head. "No way. Doesn't matter what size wave you get. I know you'll nail that thing!" I smiled.

"But what if all I get are sets? You can't surf those; they don't even break!" I started hyperventilating after I recognized my discovery. "You'll be fine, girl! Chill! You've been surfing since Kindergarten!" I saw she was trying to reassure me, but it wasn't working. "It's in three days, and I'm going to surf two of them and rest the third. I just need to borrow our stress packet of chamomile tea and pillows before I start," Natali laughed.

"You'll be fine! Just...breathe!" I sighed. These were going to be a long three days.

TO BE CONTINUED!! :D

Chapter Seven: http://www.kidzsearch.com/questions/13124/shark-bait-ch7-finally-here?show=13124#q13124

Next Chapter: http://www.kidzsearch.com/questions/14213/shark-bait-ch9-yayy?show=14213#q14213

	Chapter 7

	Steve

I was getting tired of lying for my job. I was starting to feel like I should help this girl, not help Daria. I bit my lip again while driving. I hated working for Daria. She was the cruel woman who had forced me into working with her. I "owed her for all my damage". I glance over at Maya, without stopping myself I say "Your pretty."

She quickly turns to me with a wide-eyed look on her face.

"What? Your my brother. Unless that was to make me feel better, I other wise feel uncomfortable." she says.

"Look, I am sorry." I say.

"What? I am getting so tired of all the secrets lately! What is wrong with me?" she snaps.

"Better off you don't know then." I say.

I stare at her again. She can easily see that I am not her brother. She must know. I stare ahead, instead.

	Chapter 8

	Maya

I don't know what do think. We are driving away from the airport! I look in my lap. Fern is fluttering her eyes as she awakes. I can't help myself, I lean in and give Steve a kiss on the cheek.

"You know, thank you for saving me in all."

He doesn't answer. He has been staring at the road for a hour. I am starting to worry. Steve has a worried look on his face. Then he turns to me and says, "Sorry." I am confused until we pull up into a driveway. I hear a low scary female voice. "You've got her."
