Is Jax From TADC A Complex Character?

Saw ppl arguing abt this online especially after episode 9. I used to give him mercy because of the Jax lovers but after episode 6 I couldn't really stand him anymore.

Episode 9 gave me a different understanding about him and I'm glad to know his lore and everything but that is no excuse to be a rude, manipulative jerk.

The only reason I wanted to see him unabstracted was so he could have more character development or whatever. I thought we would see him apologizing and making it up to everyone. Obviously it would take a while to gain trust but at least we would see him actually trying.

Also is Jax actually trans? I saw a Tiktok about it but Idk if its real.

Anyway, thats just me. What's your take on the topic?

Chapter 9: The Barrier

Shera seemed awfully excited for this trip up the barrier, from what Adonis observed. He wanted to see just how good she really was at parkour, considering how sharp she was earlier that greeting. "You know, I think that Herobrine lost his blade just so he could have a reason to get back at Notch," conversed Shawn to Shera, possibly trying to do so secretly. It didn't work, as Adonis could hear them loud and clear.

And as he listened in, he found more detail.

"That would make sense," replied Shera. This time she was quiet, and Adonis had to strain himself a bit. It was hard trying to listen in on a conversation when you're parkouring blocks that are 2 centi-chunks away from each other. He almost slipped one time, catching himself before anyone saw.

Wayne appeared to be having some trouble. He was built to be mostly on land, that was for sure. Instead of jumping, he mainly just got a hold of blocks and pulled up atop them. Adonis was a little worried, but he brushed his anxious thoughts off.

Adonis returned to the conversation between the two escorts. "But why would he put something so important in jeopardy?" Beseeched Shawn. "Do you know how overpowered that weapon is? There's nowhere to hide something that energetic just anywhere in the nether. It would be clearly seen. My theory is starting to not make much sense..."

Adonis didn't hear much after that because he heard a child screech. He whipped his head around to see what was a dangling Webner from a block. "Webner!" Called Winnie 3 blocks away from her brother. "WINNIE!" Adonis yelled several blocks above them, "GO BACK DOWN AND HELP YOUR BROTHER!"

"But what if I fall?!" Winnie screamed back. Adonis facepalmed. "YOU CAN'T FALL FROM PARKOURING DOWNWARDS. I'VE TAUGHT YOU THIS!"

"Don't worry, I got it," said Sage as she swiftly parkoured down to the twins. She held her hand out once she was on the same block as Webner. "Come on, we don't have time! You can ride on my back if you have to, we just need to go!" She said impatiently. Webner nodded and grabbed her hand. She transported him from the block onto her back and she grabbed Winner's hand. She just as gracefully parkoured back up the barrier, a determined look on her face.

Preston was about caught up with the other pair of siblings. Adonis could tell he was practicing. Preston was quieter than normal, and that said something. He usually didn't talk much, but this was the quietest he's ever been, thought Adonis.

Speaking of Adonis, he made sure to catch back up with Shera and Shawn. He was still very curious on what this Herobrine's Blade mystery was all about. After all, Herobrine was his god. He didn't know why none of him or his crew never knew about the case.

"We're almost there!" Said Evan, now a few blocks over from Adonis. Now that he thought about it, they'd never been this close to the barrier, let alone this much elevated on it. Once they got to this portal, however, what were the escorts going to help with? Adonis and his crew were Netherborns, he highly doubted that Notch was going to shield them all.

Soon, though, they managed to all get to the very top of the barrier, where somewhere around there, the portal was located.

"YES!" Maxine exclaimed, visibly out of breath. "WE MADE IT!... YES..." she fell down on her knees and descended from there to being completely on the stable group of blocks. Sage was shaking her head, but smiling at the same time. Adonis couldn't help but smile too.

"Are you guys up for walking all the way across the top of the barrier to get to the portal?" Asked Shera. "As ready as we could ever be," replied Adonis, "but I have just one question. We're all technically related to the enemy of Skyborns. How is Notch going to help shield the enemy?"

"He doesn't really have a choice," explained Shawn, "you guys have to be imported as soon as possible, so he can't be picky over who he protects in the nether and who he doesn't based on their blood status." Adonis thought he had a point, but why was this journey into Diamon so important? Why did it have to be done so quickly? Adonis thought this would be a leisure transition, since the President was doing this out of spite.

So he posed that exact question. "Why do we have to do this so urgently?" The siblings looked at each other and looked back at him and said, in unison, "We're not sure."

"What do you mean? You're the ones tasked with taking us there!"

"Well yes, but," began Shera, "we don't know the full story ourselves. We were told that... Should we be telling them this?" She added to Shawn. He shrugged. "They're going to find out anyways."

She turned back to the crew. "We're afraid that matters are going to have to been taken... Into Diamon divine's own hands."

Adonis was still puzzled. "What? What does that mean?" He said a bit defensively. "It means that because your god is going rogue, that means his mobs are starting to lose control as well. It's only a matter of time before Diamon has to tighten the restrictions around the Badlands. The laws here are becoming more lenient on the barrier, probably the President already losing his head. Mobs and treasoners alike may break out."

Adonis clenched his blocky fists. "So you're saying that you're gonna fight with us again, is that it? You just got finished saying we weren't in the Midblock Ages anymore!" He said through his teeth. "We have to do this because you may become a major threat to passive mobs and Skyborns," said Shawn.

"What does that have to do with us specifically?" Asked Winnie. She presented a very good question that even Adonis hadn't thought of. "Well, that's the part we don't know," Shera replied. "All we know is that your president hates you and you have nowhere else to go, so—"

"You didn't have to say it like that.." growled Maxine under her breath. "It doesn't matter. Where's the portal to Diamon?" Preston abruptly interjected. Everyone was shocked to hear him speak again. Shawn cleared his throat and said, "Right that way, sir," and pointed across the long top of the barrier.

"Let's go before we run out of time, then," Preston commanded.

Preston was more confident of things this time, Adonis saw. He wondered what had gotten into him.

Tony's POV

Tony had woke up from what was a very bad dream. He was sweating from head to toe, as was extremely uncomfortable, in the New York freeze. He expected to wake up in the comfort of his bedroom, A Saturday morning, or afternoon, depending if he wanted to sleep in or not. But it was dark outside. He could tell by looking out of the vehicle's windows that it was pitch black still.

Wait, he was in a vehicle?

An ambulance truck to be exact. There was no describing how scared Tony had felt when he realized that he was in a hospital bed, sirens ripping his ear drums. Or was it the people booming at each other to go as fast as this truck could take them? It was difficult to tell.

"Where," he began to utter, and when he did everyone's head whipped around to face him.

"...Where am I? Where's ma..

Where's Miles..

Where's dad!"

He started to grow restless. He attempted to sit up but the nurses forcefully pushed him down. "Where is my family!" He screamed, "WHERE ARE THEY? TELL ME!"

"You gotta calm down, kid!" Said one nurse. She made a motion with her hand to the other nurse, who nodded and pulled out what looked to be a needle. Tony was afraid of needles.

"This'll help you calm down, alright."

But Tony just got even more squeamish. He wouldn't stop moving even if his life depended on it. And it somewhat did. "IF YOU DON'T STOP MOVIN', THIS NEEDLE'S GONNA HURT, KID!" Said the nurse that was holding the deadly weapon. Tony saw it as a very lethal tool. "I'm not gonna let you use that thing on me! I want my family!" He started to cry, which he hasn't done since days ago. Why was he so emotional? He was never this emotional, not even when Vinny left for Vietnam. Then again, he didn't know what was happening.

"Please! I just want my family!" He was sobbing now, snot starting to trickle out of his nose and onto the indentation between his nose and lip. He sniffed hard, "Tell me where they are!"

"Your family's in another ambulance," cracked the driver, who was most likely getting annoyed, "going to another hospital. Your mother wouldn't leave your father so they're in the same ambulance, okay? And this Miles kid, was it? We're not sure about him. The others probably didn't let him come. He begged, though."

Tony listened to every syllable, even though it was difficult to hear the driver from all the way across the truck when the sirens were on. They hit another bump in the road, and this made Tony yelp in pain. "If you let us put the needle in you, you'll feel better kid," said one of the nurses softly. Tony nodded, deciding that no amount of pain he was in was better than what the needle could do.

"Great. This'll take two seconds. Greta, ready up the bandaids!"

The nurse named Greta, who was holding the needle, gave the needle to the other nurse and carefully searched through the drawer near the bed. She pulled out a box of bandaids.

Tony was waiting for the needle to go in, and he clenched both of his eyes closed. He braced himself for what was supposed to take two seconds.

He only felt pressure on his wrist, but not a sharp pressure. He opened his eyes and it was a bandaid. "All done."

He was surprised as all get out, and he would've said that if he wasn't so tired. So, so tired.

And everything else started to fade. He had found inner peace. The most peaceful he had ever felt.

And he snored.

Miles' POV

No.. This is all my fault... And it happened so fast..

How am I supposed to explain this? I can't go back home. I'm the reason this happened. If I went back home, I'd have to face my mom, who already has enough on her plate. I'd have to pass Tony's apartment door, which probably still has a hole in it. Probably still unlocked. We did have to rush out of there, no preparation whatsoever. Not even enough time to complain about Twinky, the rabid dog.

And it was all about that stupid dog, too. It's the reason why my best friend and his family are in the hospital so late at night. That dog is probably going to go into a shelter, maybe put into adoption. Hardly anyone would want it though. At least, that's what I hope.

But that doesn't make it any less right on my part. I knew how crazy that dog was. I knew it was dangerous. Me and Tony both knew that... But Tony didn't lead the dog in my house. And Tony didn't almost massacre my whole entire family and me because he was too scared to fight the dog himself. And the dog doesn't know anything but to hate people.

Chapter-9

Dorms

Nora was a little bit nervous about today. Today was the day where they assigned your dorms. Nora had hoped she got paired with someone like River, or Miles...She prayed she wouldn't get paired with Amber Hano.

Yeesh, I hope I don't get paired up with that brat Amber.. Nora had thought.

Nora had lined up to get her assigned Dorm when she noticed that River was 3 monsters in front of her.

"Hey River!" Nora had shouted.

River turned around "Oh hey Nora, waiting to get your dorm?" River had asked.

"Yeah, I'm hoping to get paired with you..." she said.

"Same, anyone but Amber Hano, one day in the same dorm as her would drive me CRAZY!" River exclaimed.

"Yeah me too...I couldn't stand to live with her." Nora said quietly.

"STUDENT 323! PLEASE COME UP TO THE FRONT DESK!" Said a teacher shouting.

"Welp that's me wish me luck..." River said walking to the front desk.

"River?" Asked the teacher.

"Yup." She said nervously.

"Ok, you are paired with Miles Yamato" "Here's your dorm key card.." The teacher said giving her card to her.

River went back to Nora to tell her the bad news. "Nora...I got paired up with Miles Yamato…"

Nora was surprised...she was hoping to get paired with River. "Oh," Nora had said sighing. "Well, let's just hope I don't get paired with Amber."

"Yeah" River replied.

"Student 326! PLEASE REPORT TO THE FRONT DESK!" Shouted the Teacher.

"Welp, wish me luck..." Nora said walking off.

"Nora Hanataka?" Asked the teacher.

"Yes ma'am."

"You are paired with....Amber Hano." "Here's you dorm key card. And your dorm is 2 doors down on the left."

Nora's heart stopped. She'd be sharing a dorm with Amber Hano….
