Hi again! It's me NYC, if you read my 'bad news.....' note of when I said I was dizzy for 3 days then hi again!!! So it's already the next day and I am back from the doctor's office which was yesterday and it turns out that I have the flu and the doctor said I just need to drink and eat oh, and thank goodness I didn't need to get a IV shot you know what I mean so here is what happened at doctor's office: so, you know like how sometimes doctors do covid tests to you? Well instead of that they put that done my throat it's called a umm. Lungs . Something I don't know, anyway they also did do the covid test to me and put it way up my nose, wow that hurted. So that's all the stuff they did, only 2 things. The End.

We went to Hampton Court Palace today and while we we're there a guy named George wrote a letter about how nice it was for my family to visit the palace. And he wrote the letter in old medieval cursive. And the paper he wrote on looked like old paper, so it looked like it was a old medieval letter.

I'm dead. As soon as my dad walks through that door, I'm dead. Those were the thoughts running through my head at the time, and my dad was NEVER one to play when it came to the blame game. (No rhyming or puns intended.) "Yes?" I squeaked out, turning off the computer desktop and jumping onto my bed like a spider monkey. "Lia, is there something wrong?" He asks, opening my door wide. "Huh?!" I tried not to let my shocked reaction to his tone of voice show, but it wasn't easy. "You seem a bit freaked out since yesterday. C'mon, summer just started! Get out there and ride some waves with Natali! You know she misses you." I nodded and got ready. Maybe, I thought, things won't get crazy today and I'll be fine. I texted Natali back after her 47th one, saying to meet me there. I wasn't about to let some weirdo shark kill my surfqueen rep without permission, now was I? • • •

At the beach, me and Natali sanded our boards together, listening to the roaring tides. But as we walked deeper and deeper into the water, I felt an icy chill roll down my spine, the same as it did like two days ago. Natali screaming at me, being rendered unconcious, and seeing blood in the water, as it swam away. Flashbacks had never happened to me before, until now. "Honey, you're gunna get through this.." Natali called, trying to sound like Oprah Winfrey. I slowly walked out, then saw a gray dorsal fin spiraling towards me. Knee-deep in waves, I just stood there, curious. Natali on the other hand, was NOT. "Lia!!" She shouted swimming back to shore alone. The shark, a female great white, was no small pup. It was like 21 inches long from snout to tail. It sat there, black doll eyes glancing up at me, then swam back out there. Later on, back at my place, Natali was still shocked at my lack of fear, considering that thing was right in front of me. "I didn't feel like it was there to hurt us," I said from the heart. "It felt like..she was trying to tell me something through her eyes." Natali looked at me like I was in kindergarten. "Lia; I find that illogical," I shook my head. "No..this goes deeper than logic.."

I've been researching this stupid stuff for like 14 hours. Nothing. When will I be put outta my misery?!

No, wait, no. I shouldn't have thought~said that. Now's not the best time for me to be even more stressed out. (Yeah that's right. I just made a twentyøne piløts reference.)

I close all my tabs on the computer and go sit on my turquoise bed, gazing at the palm tree leaves barely visible at the peak through my wall-length bedroom window. They swayed in the wind like reeds in a pond. "Hmmph," I sighed, deeply intrigued in my own thoughts.

My phone hummed a tweety bird sound for the twentieth time that hour. I lifted it slightly. Natali again. I still kinda feel bad at the way I'd talked to her yesterday. I mean, it was kinda rude.

I read them over and over as I did last night, still not responding to them. Exactly ELEVEN messages in counting. The first few read things like:

How ur doin aftr ystrdy :o

Cya ltr. Gtg 4 some surfin ur welcome 2 cum if ya wanna

They basically consisted of things like that. If share more, but I'm too tired. I've already missed so much sleep. "I hope I'm not deblivious as to what these say for the lacking of sleep," I said to myself.

My messy bun was looking particularly messy this morning. Probably because I hadn't brushed my hair in two days. (Don't you judge me! *waves index finger*.) I heard a familiar sound pounding on the wooden divider of my room and the hallway. "So? The doorknocker returns?" I spun around, clicking the lock on my doorknob so my dad could enter. "Lia?!"
