I trudge slowly to the principles office, slumping into the chair in front of Mr. Leo's desk. I cross my arms in front of my chest and sigh loudly.

Mr. Leo joins me in a jiffy. He's wearing a yellow plaid button up and tattered jeans . He sits down at his desk. "Um, hi, Alex. How are you?"

" I could be better. "

"So, why were you sent to my office?"

I look around awkwardly. "Well....you know Brittney?"

" which one? "

"The snobby rich one"

Mr. Leo chuckles. "Alright. What about her?"

" Well, she made of fun of me being nonbinary. That's just rude and homophobic. And she twisted the story around and made it look like I was the mean one. "

Mr. Leo's brow raises. "Hon, life is life. Suck it up. I don't wanna be that person, but it's the truth. Just....you can leave, ok? But there's nothing I can't do for the situation. Sorry."

I can't believe Mr. Leo. "Excuse me?? What....how....how could you???"

Mr. Leo chuckles and pushes me out of his office.

I didn't know the world was this cruel.....

Chapter Four

"It really sucks to suck, doesn't it?" Says Brittney Calastor in a high pitched voice.

I know she's talking about me.

I just know it.

Brittney and Cammy laugh their heads off, and glare at me. I'm pretty sure that Kayda told them about what happened at lunch.

It's exactly 1:23, time for P.E. class. My least favourite class, as a matter of fact.

I slip on my soccer jersey, since our current unit is soccer. My P.E. coach is Mr. Ronsone. He's sort of cool, except for the fact he makes us run 4 laps around the gym every day.

Brittney cat walks over to me, and blinks her blue eyes. "Heyy Alex!"

I stop what I'm doing and turn over to her. "Uh, hi?"

" I heard you're like, non-binary or whatever. " Brittney twirls her curls with her finger.

"Mmhmm, what's wrong with it?" I ask.

Brittney looks at me like I'm an alien. "Something wrong with it? SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT??"

I nod.

Brittney shakes her head and laughs. "Of course there's something wrong with it, loser. You're a weirdo. Always have been, always will be."

" HOW DARE YOU BE SO HOMOPHOBIC! " I scream.

Mr. Ronsone notices the commotion and walks over to us. "what's going on here, girls?"

Brittney fake cries. "I was just... Talking to her and she randomly screamed at me! She's so mean to me..." She walks away.

Mr. Ronsone takes my hand. "Alex, to the office. NOW."

"But...but...i...."

" No buts. Just go, " says Mr. Ronsone.

I finally obey him and walk off to the office, sitting on the bench in front of the main counter.

Chapter Three

The next day at lunch my best friend Kayda walks up to me and sets her tray next to mine. She has long, golden blonde hair and green eyes. She has been my best friend since kindergarten. She, unfortunately, is also homophobic, and so that's always bothered me.

"Girl, Math period was sooo boring!" She says, taking a bite of pasta.

I wince. Did she just call me girl? How could she just assume I was comfortable with being called that? "Uh, yeah. I...guess."

" By the way, I can't hang out today. I'm going to the mall with my Mom and Aunt. Kind of like a girlie trip. Ya know? But we can hang out tomorrow. I'll make sure not to make any plans with anybody else. "

I nod slowly. "Oh, okay. Cool."

Kayda smiles and pats my arm. "Thanks, girly!"

That's it.

"Please, don't call me that!" I burst .

Kayda raises her eyebrows. "Uh, Alex? Ya good?"

"No, I'm not good! I'm not good at all! How would you like it if you were non binary or something and somebody called you "girl", or "girly"?" I merely shout.

"OMG! Anger issues much?" Kayda stalks away and sits down somewhere I can't see. I don't care. I couldn't care less.

Why is life so hard?

Chapter Two

When I walk home from school on Monday, my Dad is standing at the door, arms crossed.

"What is this?" He demands, pulling out my....

"Diary!" I snatch the navy blue notebook from his hands. "How could you, Dad?? That's my own personal business!"

My Dad shakes his head, his face twisted with anger. " You've been writing about LGBTQ, haven't you? Have you forgotten that that rubbish is banned from my household? "

Tears rush from my eyes. "I hate you! So much!" I run all the way up to my room and hide my diary away under my bed. I look in my hand mirror and see that my face is red and blotchy .

"I don't feel like anything! I'm not a boy, not a girl! I hate it!"

I change into a hoodie and jeans and wipe my running nose with the back of my hand. My Dad doesn't understand anything. Not at all! He is just homophobic and doesn't care about my decisions.

Suddenly, someone knocks on the door.

"Come in," I say.

My Mother walks in. "Hey, sweetie. Are you ok?"

I shake my head vigorously . "No! Dad read my private diary and I just hate my life!"

" Shh, it'll be okay, honey. " She hugs me and pats my hair softly.

"I don't know what I am anymore." I begin to cry again.

Mom frowns. " Oh, honey. It'll be fine. I know you're confused, and that it's very hard to live with a homophobic Dad, but I promise it'll get better. "

I nod and sniffle. "I hope so..."

Chapter One

Hi. My name is Alex. I am a 12 year old gender fluid pan born a girl. The only problem is, I still haven't come out to my parents. They, in case you are wondering, are both straight as spaghetti and only use she\her and he\him pronouns. I have 2 other sisters, (Lucy and Stella) and they are completely against LGBTQ+. My Dad is homophobic and my Mom is not against it, and is a half supporter. I honestly have a long history of pronouns and genders.

Age 6- him\he\them\they, straight

Age 7-8- she\her, bi

Age 9- Him\he\she\her, gay

Age 10-11- She \they, bi

Age 12- ?, Pan

So yeah, I still haven't come up with some pronouns since the beginning of the school year. I'm thinking they\them, but my decision hasn't been made.

My room, in case you're wondering (again), is not filled with colourful rainbows and posters. It's a gray, bland room with only a bed and a closet. Literally. It's all because my Dad doesn't allow any LGBTQ+ in our house, but trust me. If I was allowed, I would be running off to the store and buy all the rainbows and posters I could. Every time my Dad asks me what I identify as and what my pronouns are, I always reply with, "I identify as a straight female, and my pronouns are she and her." It pains me to say all that, but I have to.

Basically that's my life situation right now.

It honestly sucks.

And I need to do something about it.

Hi friends! I got a new blog today! It is "Jasons all round corner"

I have 56 friends there and I like circuits,cars and sports like hokey,soccer,baseball,cricket and rugby.
